We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobby TIPPIT and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bobby, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was the passion I have for music. When others think of business most think of money. Starting a business was bigger than money to me. To me the passion began when I saw that music was something that I wanted to continue to wake up and do everyday.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is that this is not a hobby. This is my passion. I am very proud of my progress and I’m excited to introduce the world to my brand, and creativity. “Cobra Beats”. I am Cobra Beats. This was not easy. This is a road that I continue to travel everyday. Lost of No’s, and doors that closed however, that made me a even better business owner and showed me that I just had to work harder and it has definitely paid off. I still have a long way to go but I am most definitely proud of the progress. I got here professionally due to handwork and determination. Some days I didn’t know if I would make it, I wanted to give up but I kept pushing and I met so many amazing people along the way. Some that also made a huge impact in my life. I want any and everyone to know that if you have a dream make it a reality. No matter how long it may take. If its your passion you should live your life hungry for it continue to hustle and never give up.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wow, Houston has so many amazing places it is too many things to do we wouldn’t even have enough time. We would definitely visit Phil and Derek’s for brunch for those bomb mimosa’s. Lunch at the Turkey leg hut. Galleria for some shopping at some of my favorite stores, Dinner at Grace’s and end the night somewhere chill but fun so I’m thinking maybe Camp and listen to some good music and smoke some hookah.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God is the reason for all of this. He guided me in the right direction throughout this entire process. He also sent my then girlfriend and my now wife Sharen my way for encouragement. She gave me that extra push to push me into the direction that I needed to move in. She has this business mind frame and determination that is incredible and she believed in anything and everything I did and still does now. She never allowed me to give up, prayed for me on a daily even when I wanted to give up she never let me. She was definitely the blessing that I needed in my life. Sometimes God sends that blessing your way that you need. I am a true believer that every0ne serves a purpose in your life.
