We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Watson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I recall sitting in my garage restoring my energy. It was raining and I looked up and begin watching the rain drops hit the tree. It was perfect the way the rain was hitting it, and I thought to myself that’s beautiful. I grabbed my camera and begin just shooting photos. (Note: one of my favorites today). I realized in that moment that I have a treasure on the inside of me to do things that bring joy to myself and others, and KFB Photography was manifested. I have always had a love for beauty, and photos are the one thing that last over time/generations etc.
I don’t consider myself a very creative person, but that treasure on the inside allows for manifestation to happen. I absolutely love talking photos and I can promise you, it’s not for the money more than capturing other’s beautiful moment.

I’m most proud of the person I am becoming and I’m excited about what my future holds. I’m open to learning more, meeting new people, and exploring the things that predestined for me.
Like I stated in my article all roads come with challenges, my focus is normally not on the challenge but the outcome and how I can grow and develop from them. I am assured that all things will work out for my good.
Lesson learned would be life is about evolving into the person you really want to be. Love, make mistakes, cry, fall – pick yourself back up, fall again- and get back up, teach and be teachable, accept that things will happen good and ugly and most importantly stay in Faith and Trust God!
I would like people to know that I am a really beautiful spirit. I love the light that shine inside of me. I believe my brand will continue to shine because of the Love Light inside of me.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestie comes to town ….I would rent a condo on the seawall of Galveston Island. Pick her up from the airport, we would visit Total Wine first. Next on to the Market to get all the chocolate and snack foods we love. Now we are riding to the island and just enjoying the music and the beauty of the day. Once arriving we would unload everything and open that Wine and sit and enjoy the wave crashing and catch up on all the tea. We would enjoy the sunset, sun rises, and morning walks along the seawall.
We would talk about life, our future, and make plans. We would go to some of the island restaurants. My favs are The Spot, Flip flops, and The Happy Buddha. We may venture out to Top Water Grill. We would enjoy some night life and live music at B Jiggers. We would dance, enjoy plenty of laughter, we would meet new people and enjoy conversations. We would call our wonderful husband’s and let them know we are having the best time. My bestie love light shines brighter than mines, and I absolutely love her to life….so if someone after reading this want to bless us with a week-long condo vacation reach out…we can buy the own wine… LOL…
Alright, so let’s jump right in! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there a person, group, organization, book, etc. that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?
I would like to dedicate this to my number one fan, my amazing husband! He is truly an amazing person. I’m not just saying that because he is my husband. He is truly a beautiful spirit. He sees the treasure inside me and helps me manifest my dreams. He is by my side when things are rough and his encouragement helps me to remember who I am. He is a gifted and talented man, and I appreciate him for sharpening my iron.
My family and friends for all their encouragement, support and love. To all those individual who have entrusted me to capture their beautiful moments. I love you with all my heart and pray for your continued support, because the best is yet to come.
