We had the good fortune of connecting with Kordale Lahner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kordale, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As a Nonprofit Leader, I consider risk a necessary part of life. Taking risks can lead to great rewards and opportunities, but it can also lead to failure and disappointment. In my life, I have taken many risks, both personally and professionally. Some of them have paid off, while others have not. However, even when things didn’t work out as planned, I learned valuable lessons that helped me grow and become more resilient. Taking calculated risks is essential for personal growth and can lead to outstanding achievements. In my career, taking risks has also been a critical factor in achieving success. Whether starting a new project or pursuing a new opportunity, taking risks has helped me push beyond my comfort zone and achieve my goals.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
1. My ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems sets me apart from others. 2. I am most proud of my ability to persevere through challenges and become more assertive on the other side. I am excited about the future and the endless possibilities that it holds.
3. Getting to where I am today professionally was not easy. It took hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn from my mistakes.
4. Along the way, I learned that failure is not the end but a stepping stone to success. I also learned the importance of networking and building meaningful relationships.
5. I want the world to know that my brand and story are about growth and self-improvement. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and become better than we were yesterday.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I was planning a week-long trip with my friends in Houston, Texas, there are plenty of things to see and do. The city is famous for its diverse food scene and cultural attractions. Here’s a possible itinerary for a fun and exciting week:
Day 1: Visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Zoo. These two attractions are located in Hermann Park and are perfect for a day outdoors.
Day 2: Head over to the Space Center Houston to learn about NASA’s space program and see real space artifacts. Head to the Houston Theater District for a Broadway show in the evening.
Day 3: Stroll around the picturesque Buffalo Bayou Park, where you can rent bikes or kayaks to explore the area. In the evening, check out the vibrant nightlife scene in downtown Houston.
Day 4: Visit the renowned Menil Collection, an art museum hosting rotating exhibits and featuring works by famous artists like Picasso and Warhol. Afterward, head to the Montrose neighborhood for some delicious food and drinks.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I shout out Keri Moore. And here is her bio.

I’m originally from the charming state of South Carolina and have recently embarked on a new chapter in vibrant Texas. I enjoy DIYs, arts & crafts, going to the gym, listening to music, and engaging in outdoor activities in my spare time. As a proud fur mom to my beloved Cavapoo, Koi, I cherish every moment spent exploring the great outdoors together.
