We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Jones-Coyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the why behind it. Keeping true to the organic reason why I chose to do this is what keeps my fire going. When you are passionate about your brand, clients can feel the genuine love for it! It shows in the marketing/branding, service provided, followup and encourages return visits. Building those relationships based on a filing a need for my clients that’s rooted in my passion makes it all work seamlessly!
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I started my makeup journey at Glamour Shots at the age of 15. Being around beauty birthed a passion for wanting more of it! I moved on to begin my carreer at Mac Cosmetics in 2001. I had a array of amazing artist’s and managers that encouraged and coached me. I learned to become confident in my skills and fearless at achieving my goals. I was quite successful and went on many years later to be the district manager and oversee 7 Mac locations. After 16 years there I was very happy but I was missing the work life balance. This void pushed me to want to be my own boss. I started my own mobile makeup service in 2016. This business was the best decision I’ve made! I am doing what I love and was recently blessed to do the makeup for the July issue of Sports Illustrated with Simone Biles! I couldn’t be happier with the journey. The lesson I learned was, the only way you can loose if if you quit! Keep going and you will achieve your wildest dreams!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the art museum, Georgia James steak house and a speak easy to see live music
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shout out would have to go to my husband David. He’s a huge part of my story and having that support system makes it so much easier to step out on faith. Knowing you’re not alone
