Meet Kristin Pomroy | Realtor at UTR-Texas, Realtors & Small Business Network Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Pomroy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process comes from a deeper desire to step away from corporate leadership roles where I did not feel fully valued. Instead, I chose to create a career where I can help support my family, be recognized for my work, and make a direct impact on my community.
By working for myself, I’m building something that aligns with my values: fairness, connection and meaningful service. Whether I’m helping someone find their dream home, guiding clients, or fostering professional growth through networking, my business choices all reflect my commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives-while also securing a future where my hard work truly pays off.

What should our readers know about your business?
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. Leaving corporate leadership roles meant stepping into uncertainty, but I knew I needed to build something of my own—something that aligned with my values and allowed me to truly help others. The biggest challenges were self-doubt, navigating new industries, and building everything from the ground up, but I overcame them by staying focused on my mission, learning continuously, and leaning on my faith, my husband, my mentors, and my community.
Some key lessons I’ve learned:
• Success isn’t just about strategy—it’s about persistence and relationships.
• Being valued starts with knowing your worth.
• Helping others is the best way to grow, personally and professionally.
I want the world to know that my brand is more than a business—it’s a reflection of my heart for people. Whether it’s through real estate or networking, my goal is always to serve, uplift, and create real impact. I’m not just a Realtor, I’m here to invest into others hopes, dreams and goals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d tailor the trip to showcase the best mix of food, culture, outdoor fun, and hidden gems in my area. Some of my family’s favorite restaurants are The Toasted Yolk in League City and Dickinson BBQ. Taking an afternoon walk in historic Galveston to visit local shops and art is always a fun adventure, or even Museum District to visit one of our museums or botanical gardens. Armand Bayou Nature Center is always nice to see animals and learn more about nature locally, paddle boarding in Clear Lake. T-Bone Tom’s almost always has live music. Scoop Shop in Friendswood has homemade ice cream. We even have local wineries, Space Center Houston, rock climbing, escape rooms, you could even drive to the river to float for the day! There is so much more. We live in an area that is diverse and something for everyone.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success is rooted in faith, love, mentorship, and continuous learning. God has guided my path, my husband, Reise, has been a pillar of support, my mentors throughout various chapters in my life and my parents have shaped my journey, and the book, Launch, has provided valuable insights.
I pray daily, through the good and the bad. There is not a single goal or dream I have mentioned to my husband, that he didn’t said, “go do it!”, without hesitation. I’ve been blessed with several mentors throughout life, too many to mention. My parents always told me to start my own business from a very young age, they believe in me and understand the giving back and time freedom, they will always be sure I succeed. I love to read non-fiction and fiction and at the end of 2024 I completed the book Launch by Jeff Walker. I have only read a book once before but this book I read 3 times in a row and has a lot to do with how I hold myself professionally now.
