We had the good fortune of connecting with Larika Baldwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larika, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My Business offers a financially friendly service that allows individuals, families, and even small businesses the access to professional images. Many photographers focus on the money aspect of this art but my focus is on the memories and moments that are preserved for those that use my services. We see this service as a art form used to freeze a moment to last a lifetime.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Lascorpia Photography is a service as well as an art form. I started as an outlet, a way to release the ability to be socially active in a community that I was new to. Today, I am proud that Lascorpia Photography strives to offer an affordable service to individuals, families, and small businesses who could benefit from our art. I am excited to announce that this year I plan to complete a series of photography documentaries that I hope will bring awareness to different topics in my region. I have learned while practicing this craft that the way we relate to others is directly associated with sharing yourself and your talents to the world that is around you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area we would head out for breakfast at Dame’s Chicken and waffles, after we would take a stroll in one of the many Beautiful parks the Greensboro, NC area such as LeBauer or Barber Park. Next we could visit and grab a beer at one our local brewing companies such as Joymongers Brewing Co. or Southend Brewing Co., we can leave right out of there and pick a restaurant downtown such as Europa Bar and Cafe before going home to enjoy the the sounds of nature relaxing on the front porch. The perfect day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a special shout out to my late great grandmother Cozette Baldwin who I lost in August of 2023. My grandmother always instilled in us that whatever it is we put our mind to that it could be done. Now more than ever I intend to use my mind as well as this art to honor her memory. I would like to shout out my family with a blessing to have too many names to list, family is and has always been a solid support system and a continuous motivator to persevere just like so many of them before me. Shout out to each and every person who will take the time to read this. All of you mean so much to me!
