We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Niccs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsay, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Simply put……..I have to. It’s not an option for me. Like, it is, but it’s not! Lol. GOD has called everyone to do something. This is my “something”. To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as someone who was born and raised in church but was actively and openly drunk, gay, high and promiscuous with men and women and full of tattoos. GOD is a healer and deliverer and HE hears us in the dark spaces of our lives. Every day is not easy…. AT ALL BRO, but every day is worth it!

Through this music I pray GOD is pleased and someone is touched. Love, forgive others, forgive yourself, be free and move forward in Jesus’ name. Close your ears to the voices of those who knew you WHEN! This music is for everyone who is or was like me. Living to cope and not living to LIVE. You may be feeling filthy, full of regret and/or worthless. YOU ARE FORGIVEN BOO! By your father, GOD in Heaven. Cheers to community through music that speaks to the soul with intent to save it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So BOOM! This music is naked. It has a sound that’s different. To me at least! And I love it!! I’m no where near where I know I will be. But I’m on my way! That’s so exciting and humbling at the same time. I also produce, record and mix a lot of my own music. I have music on all platforms including SoundCloud! I’m excited for what’s to come. I’ve learned a lot of lessons on this journey. One of them being ,they see you! Whatever you do, they see you. Good, bad, ugly and indifferent. I’ve learned discretion recently! And to still be productive when I don’t feel like it. One thing I need to world to know is, GOD is real and the necessity of repentance. If this article comes off uber deep, GOD has been speaking a lot to me lately and I need to let y’all feel this love Mans been pouring me and HIS message! Repentance. I’m FLAWED. I don’t know the Bible front to back and I literally just threw all my weed out YESTERDAY and rededicated my life AGAIN. This walk is wild when your mind has been a playground all your life. So in real time, I pray the world is able to see the struggle, the death of who I thought I was, the repentance, the gratitude, and the deliverance. I pray the world is able to find their freedom through Jesus Christ. Everyone story is different, and I’m letting y’all in on my mine. Differences don’t make us off brand for HIS goodness. BREATHE. Believe. We gon be alright.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t know where we’re going! I’m from Buffalo, NY. All we do is chew stuff up here!!! We chewing up pizza! We chewing up chicken wings!( The real kind! Not whatever soggy wings y’all got in these other states, amen!) So needless to say, me and bestie going out chewing! We would go to canal side, Larkin Square, live music, get ice cream on the west side, a few more random things then I’m going to sleep! I’m tired by now, chile! Lol I love bestie though!!!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this article to everyone who is at a crossroads. To everyone who can’t decide what to do with life because they still question if GOD is real. I dedicate this to anyone who has misplaced anger or childhood trauma that tainted how you view the Father or people. This is for the lonely. You’re not really alone. You never were. Tap in, fight to stay in! Smiles are coming!! Psalm 126
