We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, how does your business help the community?
Successful Promotions is not your average branding and marketing agency. We specialize and focus on creating a balanced business and lifestyle for mompreneurs. Mom’s that juggle being a business owner and catering to family, require strict schedules and discipline to accomplish life goals. It can be difficult to maneuver business and kids so Successful Promotions has created a safe space for moms to pursue their dreams with their child(ren). We offer assignments, planning and consulting to mom’s that struggle to find balance. As an agent we find strategies for mom’s to plan effectively, collaborate with like-minded women and thrive in both business and family. It is important that women feel supported and we want to provide that for them in any way we can. We look forward to launching our Momprenuer X Miniprenuer line May 2021, that will include apparel, e-books, courses, memberships and more.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art consists of graphic and website design. My company focuses on visually pleasant aesthetics to draw in the clients you need. What sets me apart is that I have successfully collaborated my personal and business life. My family means the world to me, but sometimes I’m pulled in many directions that interrupt my focus on business. I pride myself on knowing the importance of balance and making it apart of my daily routine, as well as helping others conquer the same challenge as a momprenuer. I’m most proud to create a lane for women in business that includes what most consider a huge part of their life, their families. Where I am now was everything but easy. It took a lot of time to undo society’s theory that women belong in the home. I believe if a lot of women can learn balance family life will seem like less of a burden. After cleaning, cooking, bearing children, and everything else it gets hard to find time for your personal desires. I mostly want the world and women to know that being a mom and business woman is possible. And it doesn’t have to be boring and limited. We can empower a new wave of women.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The places I would take a visitor to eat: Kaffeine for coffee, Breakfast Klub for breakfast, Taste Bar and Kitchen for brunch, Frenchy’s for lunch and Turkey Leg Hut for dinner. Places I would go: Girl Boss Suites HTX, The Color Factory for a photo-op, The Galleria Mall and a Third ward bike tour. For Fun: Prospect Park, NOMAD, Cafe Mawal, Domain Lounge and Downtown Bike Bar Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, I would like to thank my beautiful daughters, Gia and Lovely. I owe my success to them. I always wanted to be an entrepreneur but after becoming a mom I became very much discouraged and distracted. I wanted to succeed at both motherhood and business but it seemed impossible. I definitely credit them for presenting a challenge that pioneered the structure of Successful Promotions. Not only was I able to overcome, I am able to help other women in the process.
