We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Benoit and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is definitely the leadership team. Our Brand, our business, and this company relies heavily on the teamwork and the relationships that we have with each other. Together we create balance in the company. We have the same goals, we get along together and we work together to create a thriving environment for people who work with us.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most of my friends have young children like myself. I would definitely plan my days in different areas of Houston.
I would stay with a relaxing day at the park to wind down from the travels. Discovery green is a great place for the family. You can let the kids run loose and play in the splash pad, dry off in the park and maybe catch a concert. They’re restaurants and food carts everywhere around the park to relax. If you’re wanting to catch a break, you can head over to the family-friendly 8th Wonder Brewery for a cold one and chill there. For dinner, I’d head over to Gyu-Kaku Restaurant for some Japanese-style hibachi. They’re a wide variety of meats to choose from and the kids always love to cook.
After an active day, I’d plan for a quiet day in the Galleria. I love to shop, don’t you? There’s an endless supply of stores, restaurants and entertainment in the Galleria. You can literally spend your entire day there. For lunch you can visit the Cheesecake Factory and for dinner, if you’re lucky to get someone to hang with the kids, Del Frisco’s is right there. In the winter, you can catch some amazing photos with the Christmas tree and practice ice skating. It is very fun.
Of course, if my friends are visiting me, then I would expect for them to come to spend a full day with me so we can eat, and relax while the kids play.
I’d definitely send them to the color factory for a visit. It’s a great place to capture fun photos and some family shots. There are so many activities for the kids there and it definitely takes your senses to a new level. Once you’re finished with their macaroons and ball pit, you’re going to need to wind down. There’s nothing better than Kata Robata for a nice lunch. The kids will enjoy the Skewers and you can enjoy some of the best sushi in town.
On an early Saturday, I would recommend going to the Houston Zoo and the museums. We love checking out the animals at the zoo in the mornings when it’s not too hot. The kids can see all the animals and spend hours visiting and learning about all their favorite creatures. When they’re tired of walking, they can take a ride on the carousel. I usually grab lunch right there at the zoo before I head out. For afternoon activities,. The Houston Museum of Natural Science has some beautiful exhibits. Who doesn’t want a photo with a Triceratops momma and her babies? There are several exhibits that the kids can enjoy. You can head out to space, take a trip back to prehistoric times to visit the dinosaurs and stand inside the forest to watch all the butterflies.
There’s so much more to do in the City. Houston has so many restaurants. You can find the best BBQ in the city or head over to china town for an authentic Asian 7 course dinner and boba tea. If you love cooking, you can find a cooking class taught by some of the local chefs. There are concerts, shows, orchestras, plays and so much entertainment. Happy hour at any of the Mexican restaurants may introduce you to your first Mariachi Serenade. You’ll have to come back several times to cover everything. If you love sports, catch the World Series Winner, the Astros at Minute Maid park. We also have the Texans and the Rockets during their seasons. There’s definitely too many favorites in the city to names. Whatever it is you decide to do, I’m sure it’s going to be fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Grandpa taught me that “Nothing is Impossible!” and I wholeheartedly believed that. He deserves a ton of credit for the person I am today. He spent most of life building his family and businesses. Everything had a price, whether it was time, money, labor or sacrifices, he did whatever it took to make sure we grew up to be successful.
At the age of 7, he had me working in convenient stores and running a cash register. I never realized I was probably too young. He always took the time to talk to me, explain things to me, and encouraged me to try harder. I felt like I was his favorite and the only grandkid. He made us all feel the same way. He took the time to give us all the same attention and made us feel important. Today, as I write this, I am now realizing, I do the same for the people I work with. I treat every individual with respect and I care and work with each one to make them feel as important as the next.
There’s so much I can say about him. He definitely has the most credits for my success.
