We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Yepes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, how do you think about risk?
I’ve always been the type of person to overly prepare for everything and anything. Being one step ahead was always my motto. When it comes to taking risks it makes me nervous. Throughout the course of my life I’ve learned to overcome this fear of the unknown. Sometimes we just have to take a deep breathe, weigh our options, and take a leap. Put all our heart into something, this way, no matter the outcome we know we gave it our all. This is what I did to get where I am.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As many of you know my passion started at a young age. Growing up we always had a big family of pets. However we would find ourselves in a bind whenever we wanted to go on vacation. We never felt comfortable leaving them anywhere, and I knew we were not the only ones going through this same problem. This is where the pet hotel came to light. We knew we needed to provide a personalized service that made pet owners feel comfortable and excited to bring their furry companions! What sets us apart is the love and attention we give to each one of our clients that steps in our door. We treat each pet as if they were our own!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to woodlands and we would eat at Uni sushi! This restaurant is located at woodlands market place which is a nice street of restaurants and stores you can walk to. I would also take them to the Houston aquarium. I don’t get out much so these are the only places I really know of 🙁
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success is thanks to the effort of my parents and their wonderful example. They are the most hard working people I have ever met. They have always believed in my future and given me their unconditional love and support to get here. I owe them my whole life.
