We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizette Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lizette, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think that the most important factor behind my success is that I started my business when I was only 16 years old, I was a sophomore in high school and I was working at Chick fil a at the same time.
What should our readers know about your business?
As I started my small business, I was scared of facing criticism and hate from people. As I progressed in my business I realized that the people who really care for you will support you no matter what. Managing my small business as I was going to school, working part time, and working on orders after work was not easy at all. My family would always ask me how I was able to manage everything at the same time, but I have always been the kind of girl who wants to do better and better each day. Once I think about an idea I won’t stop until I finish what I want to do. Having my small business has brought so much joy to my life since I enjoyed baking since I was a little girl. Luckily I am blessed with the best customers who support me in so many ways.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my view, I think I would take them near Galleria since there are so many amazing restaurants and small parks to visit.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my parents for allowing me to live my dreams. There is not one thing that they do not do for me. My parents are always so attentive with my small business and are always willing to help me expecting nothing in return. I can not thank them enough for being here for me and allowing me to continue expanding my small business.
