Meet Lou Robinson | Animal Advocate/W.E.A.R.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lou Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lou, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started the non profit in 2016 after always being involved in animal advocacy. Nubby was saved 8 years ago because of the call our non profit received. Since then we have saved so many more two legged dogs and others (including cats), all adopted by amazing forever homes.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Animal Advocacy is a hard all consuming calling. But to speak for the ones that can not speak for themselves, to give them a voice is what humankind should all do. “In order to CHANGE the future, we must TEACH the present.” That is what we try to do in education and action.
Special abled pets can live a full life. “Different is NOT Disposable”
Nubby teaches that everyday.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Levy Park is an amazing place! Strolling the Buffalo Bayou Park is relaxing and your pet can go with you.
Making the Dogs Day game for the Houston Astros. We are huge Astros fans fans. Many restaurants have outdoor spaces that you can eat with your pet family member.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to my husband Mark Bowlin, we are partners in every sense. Whether it be in our pets, the rescue animals, our children and grandchildren. Together we can accomplish what we do. Shout out to the community and people that support Warriors Educate About Rescue and to all the people worldwide, that have joined the family of #NubbyNation. We could not do what we do without them being a part of us.
