We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Enrique Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luis Enrique, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
Art, Kindness, and empathy hopefully I’ve passed those qualities into my children. I try I teach by example, but those that know me, would laugh at that, lol. I do hope in the end My art gains some appreciation so if your reading this go to my profile like and follow.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art… and what sets me apart, interesting. Well I’ve never considered that, but I I had to say. My art is kind o a rehabilitation journey. About 8 years ago I injured my hand in an industrial work accident. My hand where left very shaky and unstable from the trauma. I honestly didn’t think I would be able to draw or paint anymore. I keep at it, I’m still not 100%., maybe one day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston is a great city to visit!! I would definitely make it a food tour. One of the bBest things about Houston is the diversity of its people and there food. I would have to include a visit to the galleria, aquarium, museum district, and some night time fun in downtown.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
