We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyndon Jones Angelica Robles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyndon Jones, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Untying Knots has been showing up authentically. In a social media world full of perfectly curated images and scripted conversations, we’ve found that people crave realness—especially concerning personal topics like divorce, relationships, and self-discovery. Audiences resonate with real stories, raw emotions, and candid conversations so by being vulnerable, we’ve created a space for our listeners to feel seen and heard, which has built a deep connection with them. We share not only the highs but the lows, the ins and the outs, the messy parts, and the hard truths. By opening up about our own divorce experiences and bringing on guests who speak from various perspectives, we’ve created a podcast that feels raw and unfiltered. This vulnerability allows listeners to connect on a deeper level because they can see their own stories reflected in what we discuss. They trust us as leaders because we’re not afraid to be imperfect, we’ve transcended fear of judgment, we’re fully self-expressed, and that authenticity is what keeps our audience listening.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is built on transforming pain into purpose. In our professional lives, Angelica went from government blacklisted to international Forbes published best-selling author and executive producer. Lyndon went from laid-off to Chief Investment Officer for his startup. The road to success in business will never be easy or without many challenges, – from growing our platform to finding ways to monetize without compromising leverage, to losing certain personal relationships, to the internet dragging you through the mud in the comments section. But each challenge teaches us valuable lessons about perseverance and the importance of staying aligned with our mission. We’ve learned to be stubborn with the vision but flexible with the plan. We’re most proud of how quickly our audience has grown and the impact the podcast has had on people’s lives. We want the world to know that Untying Knots is about empowerment and transformation both personal and professional. it’s proof that you can turn your tragedies into triumph, your vices into victories, your blacklisted into executive produced, your layoff into self-made!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is such a vibrant city there is any and everything to do! For a day vibe, I would recommend Memorial Park for a good jog/walk on a scenic trail or ride bikes at Buffalo Bayou with city views. I’d take my friend out to brunch at hot spots like Dish Society, Se7en, or Gloria’s, and venture to Alphaland or Apex Gym for a good pump. The city is great for neighborhood markets like the Montrose Market for shopping new clothes, jewelry, and other unique/vintage fashion pieces. For a dinner vibe, I recommend Traveler’s Table, Toro Toro, or Sorrento for an aesthetic sit down or enjoy a more cultural cuisine like hot pot or Korean BBQ in Bellaire! For the nightlife, I love Clarkwood – it’s my favorite lounge in the city. Every person is gorgeous/handsome, every outfit is 10/10, every drink is unique and hits the spot, and every song is a vibe. Best Regards in the Heights is also one of our favorite night vibes. Also, the sports scene in Houston is electric so if you can catch an Astros game its a fun experience as well as the Texans and Rockets!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge part of my journey has been influenced by my co-host and the amazing community of podcasters we’ve connected with. My co-host has been a vital part of bringing different perspectives to the show, and our collaboration and chemistry make every episode stronger and more fire! We also have to shout out the podcasting community that welcomed us with open arms—especially people like David Shands and the inspiring creators we met at the Podcast Summit in Atlanta like Brendan Boyd, Jay Taylor, Jay-R Fogle, and Rod Harvey with StarStruck Collection. Their mentorship, advice, and shared experiences have been instrumental in helping us elevate our content and grow the brand.
