We had the good fortune of connecting with Magdalena Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Magdalena, so before we jump into specifics about your story and work, let’s start higher level. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Be patient and celebrate the small achievements too.
What should our readers know about your business?
Fashion Reloved, LLC is a luxury fashion consignment business for women and men. I worked as an Integration Engineer at IBM for 10 years and was never fully happy. When I left in 2013 I never looked back and I knew there was something with more meaning for me. I found it in my consignment business where I help women recycle their unwanted items, make them money in the process and sell their luxury designer items at more affordable prices.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting we would go to South Congress to visit all the small shops along the street and take a picture with the “I love you so much” mural. We would then eat at either Hop Daddy’s or La Perla’s. We would visit the Capitol and watch the bats fly out at dusk if it was August. We would have to see Mount Bonnell, go to Laguna Gloria, eat dinner at Hula Hut and have dessert at Mozarts to finish off the day.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband!
