We had the good fortune of connecting with Margarita Petersone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Margarita, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
First of all always remember : nothing in this world are given to you just like that. You always need to work hard to achieve your goals and dreams, but to achieve those you need to know what are your goals and dreams. You always “pay” for success in the front, only after you “payed” full amount, you get the result. If you are doing what you really love to do and this makes you really happy, there is no reason to give up, even if you are tired and nothing is happening like you want. Sometimes you just need to try another way to achieve it. There is always something more you can do, look at yourself from different angles and answer truly on one simple question: “Am I really doing everything to make it work?” I assure you, you will always find other way to try, but usually it will be the way out of your comfort zone. There is only one reason to give up, if you understand that it is not your dream.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My creation is my own world. It is place where I am myself, not mommy, not wife, friend, sister or daughter, I am myself. It is really important for me to have such an amazing world inside my soul and be able to share it with the world. It makes me really happy when people who created something using my tutorials, say thank you to me and I see that beautiful sparkle in their eyes. It is unbelievable feeling. I am sharing part of my soul to the people who needs it. Other beautiful part of my work is to create personalised pieces. I never fully repeat my works, as I like to create every piece unique as people are. Before I start to make it, I explore the person, her habits, lifestyle and many more of small details, to understand her. Only after it, when my muse comes, I start to create personalised jewellery. I never work in bad mood or when I don’t feel like, as I believe in energy in everything, I want my pieces have only positive and mild energy. There was long way behind my “DaisyQ Design” brand and I definitely have a long path ahead. There are always ways to improve myself and I do it with big excitement and curiosity. As every new knowledge gives me new perspective in my own vision, growth and business. More I know, more I can share with people. That’s is very important, sharing is caring 🙂
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely suggest my hometown Riga ( Latvia ) There is so many places to visit. Old Riga with its amazing history. Small cosy cafes, posh restaurants, amazing rooftop places and night life, everything you need for excellent vacation! Not far away, in Jurmala you can find more relaxing atmosphere. Long, sandy beaches with forest, where you can have an amazing walk and think about life and just breath with fresh-air and listen to the sounds of nature. Definitely worth to visit!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would definitely recommend amazing book, that inspired me for more: Brian Tracy : Maximum Achievement: Strategies and Skills that Will Unlock Your Hidden Powers to Succeed I would suggest it to every and each person.
