We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Clarke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Clarke Bioscience began as an adventure to Cartagena, Colombia. We were working with a group of doctors; one of whom was Dr. Lewis Clarke, establishing a small clinic and helping the local population with neurological issues. Dr. Clarke began treating the locals with nutraceuticals, vitamins, and hormones, in order to rectify whatever problem the patient was having. Unfortunately, it became prohibitively expensive to travel to Colombia every month, but we still felt that we were on to something special. We knew that there was a void in the U.S. for this type of “Intelligent Design Medicine.” There is a great deal of misunderstanding regarding vitamins, hormones, nutraceuticals, and minerals, and the biochemistry of the body. Conventional medicine and pharmaceuticals have trained us to think that one pill will fix our problem, but the actual problem is that we were not made that way. We believe that we all were Intelligently Designed, and if we follow the Master blueprint of what our bodies need in order to repair, we do just that. So in 2014, Clarke Bioscience was launched.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Clarke Bioscience is a specialty nutraceutical company. We design our compounds for specific purposes, like bone health and immune health, but our flagship product is Neupanex®, a brain health nutraceutical. Neupanex was carefully crafted by neuroscientist, Dr. Lewis Clarke for his patients in the physical medicine and rehabilitation hospitals to augment his work on the brain and spinal cord.
We absolutely cannot wait to get the word out that his “neuro-protocol” is now a physical product that people can try for themselves or their loved ones.
The challenges to getting such a powerful product with a solid basis in neuroscience into general acceptance have been immense. We face the dogma of close-minded medical professionals, educating the public, and a small advertising budget. But despite all this, hospitals and pharmacies are starting to carry and promote the product here in the Houston area.
We absolutely know there is a need for Neupanex® as we have seen the results ourselves, but have certainly learned that there are limitations as to what we can say it does, regardless of the scientific evidence from around the world that has studied the individual components of Neupanex®.
This, however, will not stop us from doing everything we can to educate the public that there is actually an answer to what has up until this point has been hopeless diagnoses. Our sole purpose is to help people realize what may have been lost through either an instantaneous circumstance or one that had taken many years to occur, that they can take control of their neurological health and wellbeing. Neupanex® is a powerful neurocognitive nutraceutical, and we are desperately trying to help people to attain their optimal brain health.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have a sort of tradition on Fridays, called “Frenchie’s Fridays”. After the workweek has begun to shrink in our rear-view mirror, we all get together for Italian food at Frenchie’s in Clear Lake, off of NASA Road 1 for a late lunch, wine, and to discuss the events of the week. It’s a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with some of the most authentic Italian food outside of Italy.
Because we are located in between Houston and Galveston, we like to vacation on the island. We’ll stroll down The Strand, and always end up at La King’s Confectionary for iced cream and chocolates.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout goes to God. It was through his love and guidance that we are still able to help people the way we are. Over the years there have been lean times and just when we needed that spark, that relationship, or that deal to materialize, it has.
Someone else who helped us think outside the box was the late Dr. Roby Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell’s approach to medicine was always based on the idea that our bodies can achieve miraculous things if given the right tools. These tools are rarely pharmaceutical solutions.
