We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Andreina Behrens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria Andreina, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
As long as I have clear goals and motivation, I can keep going. At the same time, I consider that giving up or stopping doing something you have been doing will never be considered a failure. The important thing is to enjoy and learn in each experience

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The road has been challenging but charming. I am a Physiotherapist by profession but my new occupation as a creative begins with the need to find a personal space within my world as a mother of three. My children inspire me to create new things every day. I feel that what sets me apart in my work is that more than selling a product, I make my clients live the experience of making something they dream or desire come true, creating products just as they imagine it and we do it hand in hand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start the day, we would go to Season’s Harvest Cafe for breakfast, which I love because the food is healthy and delicious and it is in the middle of nature. Then we could go for a walk to midtown and stop at the Waterfall Park for some cool photos. Then we can go for a walk in Buffalo Bayou Park, also walk down 19th Street in The Heights and browse a bit of the shops there. To close the day, we could eat at Porto Fooding House & Wine, an excellent restaurant with good food and drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family is my engine, my children are my great inspiration. From my mom I learned to love crafts and she is the first person I share my creations with.
