We had the good fortune of connecting with Maribel Valadez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maribel, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Our crafting Business has taught me the unimaginable; literally blood , sweat and tears goes into owning a business. It’s hard work and dedication. It’s a bunch of late nights and self doubt, it’s a bunch of why ‘s ? As in why did I do this in the first place ? The wanting to give up. The lack of support. The negative comments.

It’s learning to accept failure and that not everything comes out good on the first try.
Trust me !! You will have good and bad days.

If our business has taught me anything is that not everyone will support you wether , it’s family or friends. Along the way you loose people who you thought would be there for you.

As sad as it it’ sounds it’s a sad truth many small business owners face.

If We can give any piece of advice ;

it is definitely going to be okay. Start that business! Go after your dreams big or small.
It is normal to feel scared & having self doubt.
Don’t feel like your in a competition with anyone. There’s room for everyone to grow and to eat.

Everyone has their own special touch.

The world is different now a days
at the end of the day we should uplift each other instead up bringing each other down.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started this crafting business as a hobby… but then it turned into a passion. Crafting keeps me sane & whole.
It’s my safe place.
It reduces my anxiety and helps me focus on one thing at a time. Crafting has saved me in so many ways.

Launching our business:

I’d be lying if I said it was easy! It’ was and it’s definitely not. Sometimes you have to risk it, you won’t know until you try. We faced self
Doubt, lack of support but here we are a year later. Going strong!

Throughout our journey like others we faced challenges and lots of bumpy roads .. but it either makes you or breaks you! We walked by faith and we have not looked back.
Of course ,
There’s good and bad days but we would not trade it for anything in the world.

We love creating something out of nothing.
We love bringing ideas to life.
The most rewarding feeling is our clients face when they see their ideas brought to life.
It truly warms our hearts.

We are extremely thankful for those who have walked with us & have uplifted us in a positive way.
Thank you all who have supported us in any way.

As a small business owner ..

Never give up on your dreams.
Never let anyone tell you , you can’t do this or that.
Because you can & you will.

You are capable of many things.
Go ahead and start that business , it does not matter if everyone is doing it , you can do it too .. everyone has their special touch. Don’t you dare feel discouraged / you can do this!
