We had the good fortune of connecting with Meka Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meka, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
In 2020 I was seeking purpose. I had to pivot with my business of over 6 years and I looked into what I love doing versus what I was blessed with the gifts to do. In this season of my life I want what God wants and when reviewing the previous years I realized I was being set up for a time such as this. With V’Zable Evidence Consulting firm, I was able to scale my business with strategic partners and build a new empire titled Meka Diamond, Inc.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Meka Diamond Inc, was originally a thought from my newest book release “Diamond In The Ruff” How to transition from pressure to purpose. 6 years ago God gave me a vision while riding in my car that I wasn’t prepared to do. In 2020 as I sat I witnessed a shift in the world, I realized I too had to shift. The time I had to concentrate, the talks I had with God confirmed it was now the season of something new, a reveal. As I continued to rewind the years, I picked my consulting firm business apart and removed the fun parts, the personal parts, the things that I loved. I’m excited that I was able to not only birth a book, but birth a business at the same time. This I will be transparent and share it’s not for the weak it’s for the strong hearted haha. There were deadlines and not only that but being strategic in your launching process was difficult to process. I overcame my challenges by first trusting God, being intentional in my prayers, fasting, being consistent, listening to my coaches, and support system cheer me on along the way. I realized I not only was doing this for myself, but I had to showcase the leadership that I coached them through in their process. I was now the living example for them to follow. Many nights of non sleep, early mornings being sure not to let my consulting firm business lack in any way. What I want the world to know is my heart goes beyond any dollar amount. My desire is to leave a legacy, enhance the lives I touch each and everyday using any entity of my business. Meka Diamond will be a household name known for integrity, a genuine spirit, and a desire to see others win against the odds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Very good question.. Right now I would say a staycation in the city in a nice airbnb, jacuzzi or pool, a chef with some massage bookings. We need to rest! haha. The city of Houston has a lot to offer in entertainment. Even during Covid 19 we have done our best to abide by the guidelines and all industries have done well making things enjoyable for guest. I indeed would find a nice location to lay low for the week, nice dinner at Steak 48 and some low key places with live music such as Scott Gertners Rhythm Room or Phil and Derek’s, visit the new adult entertainment arcade on the east side of Houston, and of course shop in the Galleria or area outlet stores. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I must give thanks to God for his grace, his mercy, and his sacrifice for me. The life changing experiences that I’ve witnessed I stand bold in sharing it was all for his glory. To my parents Jackie L. Morris and Pernella F. Morris thank you for all the sacrifices, the values that you instilled in me. Thank you for allowing me to be your child and blessing me with the gift of life. Without your strength, your love, and your covering in the human form I don’t know where I would be.
