Meet Misty Lehmann | Salon Owner/Stylist- Beautique Memorial

We had the good fortune of connecting with Misty Lehmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Misty, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For me, risk taking is very crucial part of my life. When I think of the word risk, it sounds scary, but in reality, we are constantly taking risks in life without even knowing. At times, the risk doesn’t reap the reward but there is a lesson in failure. Whether that is in my business or personal life. I tackle the word risk by calling it growth. I am growing my company and it is always trial and error. I like growth in all aspects of my life, I truly believe anyone can constantly evolve into the best versions of themselves and build their dream business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a co-owner of Beautique Memorial Salon and Spa. We are building a new salon which will open in the Spring of 2022. We consider ourselves a high-end salon in the heart of Tanglewood/Memorial. We are really excited to serve our community with a fresh new space. I have been in the salon industry for 15 years, and behind the chair for 10. I specialize in color and blonding services. My passion in this business is the power to transform how someone sees themselves. I really adore my clients and like building relationships that go far beyond hair. I truly love my career and the salon industry. I believe I got where I am today through hard work, and showing up with a smile on my face every day. I love doing hair and the joy it brings my clients. This industry really is limitless, creative, and timeless. It was not easy to build my clientele, just like with any business. My advice is to believe in yourself and be persistent. The 2 most important lessons I have learned are, be yourself and stay true to you, you are one of a kind.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In no particular order, but I would have to say area attractions would be:
Dinners would include:

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so blessed to have so many people in my life that lift me up and inspire me. My husband Hank is really my biggest support system. My Beautique Memorial business partners, Jessica Garza and Richard Proto, are so inspiring and keep me dreaming and thinking bigger. I can’t forget Hans Lehmann, he is definitely someone to look up to in this industry. He has been behind the chair creating art for over 65 years! I’m so honored to work next to you every day.
