We had the good fortune of connecting with Mizzrraim Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mizzrraim, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
It makes me happy to do what I like the most.

Why? Because that’s what life is about. Have a job that makes you happy, being around people with the same vibe and a family that loves and supports you in everything. That’s part of being happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Mente Futbolera project in general, that is, the Podcast, website and social networks, is not just a site that talks about soccer, my idea is that my project is a site that brings you closer to the soccer fan and the people who work in this beautiful sport.

I am proud and excited to have people on my team with the same idea and approach, so the purpose I seek from Mente Futbolera, which is to inform and entertain in an original way, is achieved.

What I continue to achieve with this project has not been only for me, but for a team with the same passion as me.

The road has been long and difficult, but thanks to the support of my family and of course the work of the guys on the team, we kept going.

The best lesson I’ve learned along the way is that if you fall you have to get up and move on. That if the challenges are tough it means that the reward in the future will be very good.

I want everyone to know Mente Futbolera, a project that I do with my heart and soul. When I listen to my Podcast or read an article on my website or social networks, I want people to feel that they are listening to someone like them, a person who enjoys and is passionate about soccer. Because at the end of the day it is the purpose that I want Mente Futbolera to always have.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have lived in Houston for many years, so I can think of many places to visit, but, I am a huge soccer fan and the first place I would invite you would be to the stadium to watch a Dynamo or Dash game.

It would also be great to go to an Astros, Rockets or Texans game and have that experience.

I take him to eat seafood in Kemah or Galveston. The next day go to NASA and the museum of modern art.

Then I can take him out for a drink in a bar in Midtown and on the weekend he has to visit Downtown clubs.

I think I would have a good time in these places and accompanied by my friends from Houston.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am grateful person and I hope I do not forget some names of people who have been important in Mente Futbolera. First of all, to David Calzada, together we started this project in 2013. Although he is not currently in the team, he was someone important in the history of Mente Futbolera.

Many thanks to Joel “Sonic” Perez and Edson Ochoa, who are very important people in the team and who currently have dedicated time and heart to this project. They are both people who love digital media and soccer and I can boast that they are from the Mente Futbolera family and that they are very good friends.

Thanks to guys like Alicia Floricel Carlos Ruíz, Marimar Tello and of course Alejandra Deras, a girl very committed to the team.

Also to other guys who at some point in the past, collaborated on the team.

And to my dad who always supports my crazy ideas.
