We had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. and Mrs. Ball and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mr. and Mrs., every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Starting a business to create generational wealth has always been one of our goals. I, Mr. Ball was living in New Jersey at the time, I was in a Barbershop selling clothes and a guy was like that shirt is official. It was how he said the phrase is what stuck in my head and what I heard was OFISHO, I wrote it down as I heard, my wife and I came up with a business plan, God gave us the vision, We pursed with passion and purpose, invested in all the equipment needed to start a clothing brand and here we are OFISHO Activewear for Men, Women and Kids.

“One Father I Serve Humbly Only”… OFISHO is a brand created with Passion and Purpose. No matter your religion, race, or origin we are all God’s creations. Our brand is about Faith, Character, Love, Loyalty, Honor and Respect, all great characteristics to possess when being a member of any team/organization playing whatever sport you love. Even if you’re not an athlete you still can can make an impact in your OFISHO activewear. We have apparel for the entire family, onesies for the growing babies, t-shirts, hoodies, short sets, jogging sets, hats, duffle bags, mask, tumblrs and more. Be official in your OFISHO!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston is a very diverse city and there’s always something to do. My wife born and raised Houstonian grew up in the historic 3rd ward community, and graduated from Worthing High School in the Sunnyside Community on the southeast side. I’ve been living here now for almost 7 years and Houston by far has the best mexican food. Chapultepec Lupita, Gringo’s, El Tiempo are just a few, We like Lucilles, Warwick, Kiss, Mastros and Federal Grill. My favorite place to hangout at is Club 3710 located in 3rd ward community off Emancipation. Good customer service, the food is excellent. Fried chicken, fish, shrimp, fries, grilled Salmon, Steaks, fresh mixed vegetables, twice baked potatoes and more. Hookah, cigars on the patio, big screen throughout and live band on Fridays.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost we would like to shoutout and Praise God for his Grace and Mercy. I Mr. Ball would like to thank my mother for always believing in me. My Grandmother Mable Sumrall always had faith in God and with her prayers and guidance throughout my younger years she always wanted us to believe in ourselves, she along with my family taught us the value of hardwork and dedication. I would like to thank my Loving, Hardworking Wife, without her OFISHO would not be here. Her creativity, her style, she is the Creative Director and CEO of the brand. Shoutout to all our family, friends and customers who have supported and rocked OFISHO we appreciate you all.
