We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Garza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
That my passion is doing what I love and this is what moves mountains, a “job” that makes me jump out of bed without alarms, that moves my heart and neurons, this makes me extremely creative and efficient, which It keeps me constantly growing, which in turn puts me in the eye of the hurricane and both my clients and gallery owners are drawn to my art..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a self-taught artist, this encourages me not to get stuck in one style, my style is a fusion of my own styles, this makes me extremely creative and to continue playing with tools and innovating. Of course it has not been an easy race, but I have learned that if you do it with love, you put all your passion into it and above all, as my dad says, “follow your dream without falling asleep”, you achieve it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m new to the city, I just moved and the first thing that got me excited about Beaumont was its art. streets full of art, galleries, studios and many artistic activities. I feel welcomed me with open arms and I am very happy to have my first solo exhibition here in March!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have always thought that everything works in favor of the results, in my case, platforms such as instagram or another social network, galleries, gallery owners and other artists, have been steps of support for the growth of my career and a source of inspiration
