We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalya Stanley, Dominique Ellis, Trevoris McIntosh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalya Stanley, Dominique Ellis, Trevoris McIntosh, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
From small town dreams, to big city investments, Dominique, Natalya, and Trey are longtime friends from Greenville, MS who recently moved to Houston and Dallas for better opportunities. After a while, we realized that we wanted to become our own bosses, but didn’t know which route to pursue. While thinking of business plans, we began to ponder on our personal lives and what needs we needed to fulfill. Hookah was a great option, it’s used among versatile crowds, and it brings a vibe like no other. With our service on the market, residents will no longer have to go out to find the stimulating feels that hookahs bring. We will meet them where they are, bringing the Kloudz to match their vibes.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We all have careers from different walks of life. Natalya is an Elementary Teacher, Dominique is a Case Analyst, and Trevoris is a Contact Center Supervisor. We are most proud of stepping out on faith and doing something we love by becoming our own decision makers. It took hard work, praying, and dedication to get us where we are today. No, it was not easy but we stayed positive in every situation. We always remained calm under pressure at every challenge thrown at us. We made a promise to ourselves, that when a challenge arises, we would never give up. The biggest lessons we have learned during this process is to stay consistent and focus on the bigger picture, the happy ending will come in due time. We want the world to know that a Kloudz Hookah experience is not your average hookah experience. We strive to supply patrons an elite experience with luxury hookah. Our brand, Kloudz, was developed to introduce hookah luxury but using more than your typical ceramic hookah heads. Our hookahs are both flavorful and smooth. One will always remember the puff that took them above the “Kloudz”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friends were visiting Houston for a week and we wanted to show them a good time, there are a number of places we would take them. Monday we would start out by taking them downtown to visit the Houston Aquarium, followed by the Houston Color Factory. Afterwards we would eat at Pappadeaux since it is in the same vicinity. On Tuesday we would visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science, which would take up quite a bit of time. Afterwards we would eat at Steak 48, their steaks are delicious. Wednesday would be a relaxing day, so we would visit a local spa and attend happy hour at Daiqs. We would make Thursday a shopping day by going to Houston Premium Outlets in Cypress, TX, they have the best stores at discounted prices. After a long day at the outlet we would have drinks and eat at Bar 2200. Friday morning would be a great day to have breakfast at The Breakfast Klub, followed by a fun day at Andretti Indoor Karting. Friday evening we would enjoy happy hour drinks/food at Grooves of Houston. Saturday we would spend some time at the Houston Galleria, followed by lunch at the Locker Room. Saturday night we would attend Nomad, where we can bring our own bottles and enjoy one of the best hookah lounges in Houston. Sunday we would end a great week by having breakfast at the Toasted Yolk.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
