Meet Nick Cerasuolo | Managing Member and Hot Dog Cook

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Cerasuolo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, what’s your definition for success?
Success is a metric that is constantly changing and based on perspective. There are many different levels of success that can be used to influence strategy for the future. We believe that success is achieved whenever a specific goal is exceeded. The Weenie Wagon was started with the goal of selling unique gourmet hot dogs with an authentic hot dog cart experience. While The Weenie Wagon has achieved success in meeting this goal, we now plan to grow the business to bring this hot dog stand experience to a wider audience.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Weenie Wagon is one of the only hot dog businesses in Texas that serves hot dogs using an actual hot dog cart. What separates The Weenie Wagon from other hot dog businesses is that our hot dogs are treated as works of art. Great care was given to the creation of each hot dog recipe to ensure the hot dogs had a great appearance and incorporated flavors that everyone can enjoy. The Weenie Wagon is so unique because it gives a modern take on a hot dog with the fun atmosphere of an authentic hot dog cart. All of the employees at The Weenie Wagon are college students, and The Weenie Wagon serves as a way for them to learn important lessons about the business world such as permitting, finance, inventory management and more. Everyone at The Weenie Wagon has dedicated their time to improve our concept along the way to create the best possible hot dog experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is full of great places and activities. The parks and museum district in the city are very fun to visit during the day and offer very unique experiences. Watching any of the Houston sports teams is a great time regardless of the sports season with fans that are always supportive. Many of the restaurants downtown have great food, and you cannot leave Houston without trying some of the amazing barbecue. Houston has great nightlife, including bars in Midtown and the East Downtown area that offer great experiences for everyone. As a whole, Houston has something to offer to everyone and is a great city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The success of The Weenie Wagon is completely reliant on all of the people who work at the cart each day. Every employee at The Weenie Wagon has worked extremely hard to allow the company operate and grow. Without the help of The Weenie Wagon workers, we would never have been able to manage inventory, coordinate work schedules, and prepare hot dogs for our great customers. This shoutout is meant to recognize every worker and supporter of The Weenie Wagon that has helped turn the business into what it is today.
