We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
One of the most important key factors to my success in the Real Estate industry has been the people I have surrounded myself with. Building strong relationships with other Agents, Title Partners, Lender Partners and many other industry sectors assist in your transactions running smoother and at the end of the day your clients being happy with the entire experience.
They are your support system when problems come up and are always there to help find a solution. They are also there for the celebrations and big moments in your life and career.
I’m forever grateful for the amazing people I have in my life. They have opened up so many opportunities for me and have helped shape me into the person I am today.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since The Baker Team was created we knew that the foundation of our business was going to be our strong relationships with others. Treating others with respect and authenticity will get you a long way in life.
Our clients always tell us how much they appreciate that we are just “real”. We talk to our clients as we would our friends and family.
Another factor that sets us apart from others in the industry is our work ethic. Whether it be for a Listing or a Buyer, we always strive to give 110%. There have been countless times where we have done manual labor at a property to get it ready for market or have stayed up until 1 AM negotiating to win a home for our Buyer.
As long as you give the service you would want to receive to others and stay true to yourself, then you will be successful in this industry.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were having a friend visit Houston for the first time, this is what a planned day in the city could look like. We would go to One Sweat in The Heights for a morning workout and then grab coffee at La La Land Kind Cafe. After that we would go to City Centre to look at all of the amazing shops they have and then drive to Cypress for lunch at Seasons Harvest. After enjoying our locally sourced and grown lunch, we would go for a relaxing manicure and pedicure at Gossip & Nail Co before heading to dinner at Flora. We would then end the night at Clarkwood with an Espresso Martini.
Each part of town has so many fun and interesting places to visit and restaurants to try. There is never enough time to fully explore this amazing city I’m lucky enough to call home.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One of my biggest supporters since Day 1 has been Savanna Buck with Patten Title. She has been with me throughout every step of my career. I thank God everyday that he placed her in my life. Savanna supports and cares for her people like no one else I have ever seen in this industry. She is always a resource to others and wants to assist in building others up in any capacity she can. Savanna is a true treasure in this industry and we are all better with her in our lives.
Also, I would not be where I am today without my Mother and Team Member, Julie Baker. She has always supported me and all of my ideas I’ve ever had. She allows me the environment to be creative and think out of the box to grow our business. My Mother is a huge reason on who I have grown to be in the past few years. I’m forever thankful that we get to build this empire together and leave a legacy.
