Meet PAP GOD | The artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with PAP GOD and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi PAP, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My true purpose is to help spread peace and positivity throughout the world through everything I do from my music to my name PAP. I’ve always loved music but never thought it would be my calling until I had the crowd moshing at my first show. Ever since then I knew I had something from stage presence to the music I make.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started making music seriously in 2018 out my closet which then progressed to performing at open mic shows. I was known for my songs “Yuh Yuh” , “Evil”, “Gameboy”, “13”, “High” “. This is around the time where I met Yoshi The Plug along with many more underground artists, and started networking and gaining supporters throughout the coming years. The shows at the time were ran by a promoter/event coordinator ByxBreezy who brought out bigger acts such as Xavier Wulf, Chris Travis, Idk Jefferey, Fat Nick, NLE Choppa, Stunna4Vegas plus many more mainstream artist that I was given the opportunity to perform/open the show for. From there Yoshi the plug created the brand Texas Genocide, with the help of myself along with few more friends. We started throwing parties and performing at them. Between the parties and talking with promoters via social media we were able to line a lot of shows up making everybody want to come see us and have fun. On March 17 2021, My son Peace Hendrix Groves was born. It was only 3 weeks later that he passed away in his sleep due to SIDS. After months of grief I’ve managed to get on shows/tours with artist like Robb Banks, Craig Xen, Jgreen, Black Smurf, Jasiah, Nascar Aloe, Xavier Wulf, Key! ,

GWAPMIZZLE, TSF, etc. I ended up starting my own brand “Peace Love Rage” in which I plan on making it the next Woodstock of this generation. I started off just wanting to spread peace and Positivity through my actions my name PAP, even my sons name Peace. Now that he’s not here I continue to strive to spread peace and positivity and to inspire the people to be better individuals and learn to love more
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hawaii or anywhere where nature is most alive. I find peace where there aren’t many people. All I need is water, fruit, if need be we can hunt or just DoorDash some food. I’m not really picky on food as long as it fills me up and don’t taste like complete shit
