We had the good fortune of connecting with Pauly Steez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pauly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My father always had an entrepreneurial mindset I could tell; from the moment I could comprehend. Along with working a full time job, he created other streams of income through cutting grass, or home construction. This heavily influenced myself to always think like an entrepreneur and that always kept me with fresh ideas of how to bring something to new market. When it came to my artwork, I knew from the beginning I would love to have a company that either sells or creates art for the consumer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a continuing story that follows me through my experiences with the inner and outer world. It combines a lot of different medias and styles, from digital drawing, painting, and sketching to create the ultimate piece. The ideology behind most of my works, is a thirst for the future. Understanding how technology may become dominant over our everyday lives through ways more subtle than others. Cartoons are a heavy inspiration for me because of the direct relationship the artist has with the tablet, to communicate to the audience. Elements of cartoons like line work, colors, the dramatic movements; not only visual, but sound plays its part. I am most excited about some animation projects that I have yet to truly hone in on. It’s what keeps me up at night.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came into the city, I gotta take them to Top Golf. You can eat, drink, play pool, play golf of course. I mean its a one stop shop. And then we got to hit another bar or something up, like Sunny’s Bar, or your local sports bar. I’m all about low-key places with some 50″ TV’s. I love the extra entertainment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my parents who always held my back and encouraged me to follow my passions. I think it’s easy to shoutout your parents or overlook it, but honestly that’s who I can credit my success to. Just creating a fun and loving environment I believe helps an individual tremendously during developmental years. It still took work on my end to put the pieces together, and ultimately focus on a path. But a foundation is the most important to a house. And with God and family, thats a foundation I am able to rest upon.
