We had the good fortune of connecting with Pierre “CiinderFella” Davison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pierre “CiinderFella”, why did you pursue a creative career?
I wanted to pursue an artistic or creative career because I always felt it was something I was supposed to do from how I carry myself manner wise like interacting with people to what interest me and gets me up in the morning. I started my artistic career with singing in my great grandmothers church and have done everything imaginable to be in my own moment of spotlight, some intentional others not so intentional.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Although I’m still in the beginning stages of my career I’m most excited for people to see what I am capable of doing creatively and relating to me through music, visuals, or even just from my conversation. I got to where I am today by not taking the easy route nor listening to anybody more than myself and God. It was not easy for the sake of finding your own voice and as easy as that sounds it’s actually quite difficult when your trying to be new and original in a generation where everybody feels they have the “IT” factor and sometimes getting overlooked because you don’t look at specific way. The lessons in the industry are quite simple stay grounded and progress without forgetting what was instilled into you as a child. Finally, I want the world to know my brand and my story is no greater or worse than anybody else’s but just another perspective of a journey that was less traveled and how I made it through.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I have sooooooo many spots and restaurants to visit on and off budget. One place I know you can get food, drinks, shopping, and your club experiences done is the Montrose/Midtown district downtown, that part of the city is at its most unique on a nice Friday or Saturday night. If you want to look for something just chill with a club vibe check out prospect park or the address. You really can’t go wrong with any of these or even the places surrounding them.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I specifically shout-out Devine Creations and Legends & Legacies of Houston (No More Victims Inc.) for putting me in the space and giving me the connections for what I love to do but also mentoring me of how to establish and build off those relationships further in my career.
