Meet Rachel Elaine: Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Elaine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
The most important decision was to do something I believe in regardless of the support & judgement. We all want our friends & family to support us but not everyone has the same dreams or goals. So once you’ve made the commitment don’t give up or get discouraged.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Just like everything when you first start it’s best to start slow and make sure you’re educated on what you’re getting into. I’ve learned that you won’t get recognition or approval all the time but that doesn’t make your work any less important. Think of anything great, it once started at nothing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is an amazing city, I love allenparkway because it’s city views and nature together. I’m vegetarian and a few of my favorite restaurants are cascabel, korny vibes, jinya, pluckers, verdine, moxies, north Italia. A great spot to go for drinks/karaoke is Be More Pacific! Another fun bar is Barbarella‘s or electric feel good.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
