We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Pearson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
That’s such a great question, because the thought has crossed my mind more than once to give up. The cost of doing business isn’t just financial—it’s social, physical, and time-consuming. I pour so much into my clients, and the hours I spend behind the scenes often go unpaid. But I keep going because I love it. There’s nothing like the joy I feel when I’m crafting a plan to help someone take control of their wellness journey and truly feel strong, nourished, and better in their body. When that creative spark flows, it reminds me why I started and why I keep going. If I ever lose that fire, I’ll know it’s time to step away.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Nutritional Fitness Coach, and I also use biofeedback testing to help assess what the body needs to be balanced, nutritionally and bioenergetically. I like to say I help people become nutritionally fit from the inside out.

One thing that truly sets me apart is my use of bio-energetic testing. It allows me to see what’s happening beneath the surface, what the body is energetically asking for, so I can tailor support that’s deeply personalized and non-invasive. It’s a game-changer for clients who’ve felt unheard or stuck in cycles of trial and error.

I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all plans. I work with the whole person, physically, emotionally, and energetically. I’m proud to say that I meet my clients where they are, not where someone says they “should” be.

Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I started my wellness business while working full-time as a flight attendant. I studied, coached, and built my practice between flights, fatigue, and life’s curveballs. There were moments I felt stretched thin, but I kept going because I knew this work mattered.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to trust the process, even the slow seasons. Growth doesn’t always look like numbers; sometimes it looks like resilience, reinvention, and staying true to your mission when no one’s clapping yet.

Another lesson I’ve learned, especially through working with my clients, is that healing requires patience, both for the body and the mindset. Shifting old patterns, rebuilding health, and changing how we relate to food and wellness takes time. But it’s worth it.

What I want the world to know is this: You don’t have to settle for surviving. With the right tools and support, you can thrive. You can feel well, think clearly, move freely, and live a life that’s aligned with your body’s wisdom. That’s what I help people rediscover, one step at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Start the day with brunch at The Breakfast Klub to get our wings and waffles. Then hit the Museum District—there’s so much to see, but at least swing through the Museum of Fine Arts or the Natural Science Museum. Walk it off at Hermann Park, wander through the Japanese Garden, and if the weather’s nice, rent a pedal boat on McGovern Lake. For happy hour, head to Lucille’s (their drinks and bites are de;lish). Wrap the night with a free show at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Day 2 – Spend the day shopping (or people-watching) at The Galleria.. I always like to eat at Grand Lux Cafe. After that, swing by the Water Wall—it’s super Instagram-worthy. Grab dinner somewhere nearby—Uptown has a ton of great spots, from sushi to steak.

Day 3 –Check out Discovery Green in the morning, grab coffee, and wander around the park. There’s usually something going on—live music, art, or yoga on the lawn. Grab lunch nearby, then maybe hit the Aquarium or a walk along Buffalo Bayou. In the evening catch a game or concert at Toyota Center or Daikin Park.

Day 4 – Head to Galveston for some sun and salt air. Walk the Strand, chill at the beach, or check out Moody Gardens if you’re feeling touristy. Have some fresh Seafood for lunch then stay for the beautiful sunset.

Day 5 -Make our way to Kemah and just play. Ride the Ferris wheel, grab some funnel cake, and walk the boardwalk. Lunch at Landry’s or wherever smells the best and hang out on the boardwalk.

Day 6 – Drive up to The Woodlands and take it slow. Walk along the Waterway, maybe rent a kayak or paddleboat. Do a little shopping at Market Street and grab lunch so many good places to eat there. Maybe catch a concert at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion.

Day 7 – Take it easy and head up to Tomball for a slow morning. Grab brunch at the cozy and charming Heirloom Café & Market—great food, cute atmosphere. Then wander through Old Town Tomball and do a little shopping at the local boutiques and antique stores. It’s the perfect laid-back way to wrap up the week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother deserves this shoutout. She was the spark behind my passion for wellness. Long before I ever pursued certifications or opened a business, she was living it—always learning about nutrition, natural health, and how to care for the body. I actually started my fitness journey while she was still alive. Sadly, she passed away due to complications from medications she didn’t want to take, pushed by a medical system that didn’t listen to her. Her experience lit a fire in me. I don’t want others to go through that. Helping people take charge of their health—nutritionally and naturally—is how I honor her legacy every single day.
