We had the good fortune of connecting with Renatus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renatus, how do you think about risk?
Risk has always been a great teacher for me. I am a big believer in following your own personal edges, which for me has been about service to humanity through bodywork. I feel that through aiding people in their own personal liberation, I have, in turn, felt free. I love to see people healthy, happy, and thriving in their personal worlds. I feel that with my extensive knowledge of the body, and my personal edges, I can push through many obstacles and not see them as obstacles, but learning how to open up to life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel like my art is about the body and the feelings that come through the body. I practice the art of Tarot and Limpias. With the Limpias, I use many different energetic techniques, combining flowers, candles, hands-on-healing, and angelic prayer to help people feel lighter, more expansive, and at peace. I feel like that every session is different, and when the client is able to crack the egg at the end and release the energy of what was held, there is a connection to the unconscious world and consinessness. That to me is the artist process, linking up the hidden world within us all to the conscious world. With the Tarot, I feel like it is painting with archetypes. With each reading, I hold the cards in my hand, like a story that is about to unfold. I create in real life a story for that person and help them seek solutions to everyday problems. That to me is magic and I help people seek the magic within the cards. I want people to feel like art is everywhere, in nature, in themselves, in the sun and moon, and that everyone has the ability to create miracles within their inner worlds. Lessons I have learned are that in this community, it is about sharing your knowledge and gifting your presence within the younger generations. I feel the more that we create a network, like a golden grid, in a sense, we aren’t competing with each other anymore. I choose to seek different energy than the competition. I want us all the feel Source(filled) and that we have unique and amazing gifts to bring the world. I choose to listen and to always search for solutions to create a broader, more diverse healing environment around the world, especially in the States. I feel as well, this path isn’t for everyone, it hasn’t always been easy and I am still in the process of building my practice, it’s like tuning an instrument, finding the right note, getting into the groove. I am very thankful to be at Potion TX. on the East Side of Austin, Texas. It is a wonderful, love-filled environment with estheticians that practice facials, ecological skincare, waxing, brow tints, and much more!! Val is an amazing owner and inspires me daily to follow my heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Austin is blossoming at the moment, many people from LA and New York moving here. The East Side has my heart, I would, of course, love to take them to Barton Springs to see the salamanders, The Botanical Gardens, The Edible Plant Forrest, all things nature! There is a wonderful little tea shop that I go to and love called Zhi Tea and I love the little tea sets they sell. I love East 5th, Justine’s is a wonderful french bistro, I always get the steak with a bottle of french vino, don’t forget the escargot! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to thank my Mother for her help and support in my life with my healing goals. Also, my beautiful friend, Pallace, and her wisdom, always pushing me to write, learn, and create. I feel that I would also love to thank the people and communities that I have worked for in the past, helping me to stand on my own two feet and apply the knowledge I have learned.
