We had the good fortune of connecting with Resette and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Resette, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Art has always been a big part of our life since a young age. Our parents instilled the importance of art and music. In our teenage years in Caracas, Venezuela we both started to get involved in music projects. After moving to Houston we met each other in college and immediately began to collaborate in a variety of music bands. After having different musical experiences we decided to start a new project called Resette.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are an indie rock band from Houston, Texas formed by Jesús Verdeza and Fons D’Leon originally from Caracas, Venezuela. We mix different influences of Spanish rock and Anglo-Saxon rock. We focus on telling stories that intertwine our lives with those of the public through minimalist melodies and lyrics charged with emotions. On September 22, 2020 we released our first single “Espacio” which was accompanied by a music video directed by James Fonda.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As they arrive to the city we would take them to our favorite sandwich place Ploughman’s Deli located near The Heights. Afterwards we would make a stop by our favorite record store Cactus Music followed by The Menil Collection Art Museum and finally take them to Memorial Park. It’s a great place to get away from the city without getting too far.
