Meet RJ Flemister | Photographer & Graphic Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with RJ Flemister and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RJ, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a artistic and creative career because its simply who I am. I often refer to a quote from JPDesigns that says “God is the creator and I am his creative.” I’ve always reviled in the arts from singing to photography starting a the age of 6. Creativity has been a outlet for me in many ways. I worked my gifts as hobbies then it grew to being hired to do what I love. As I continued, I realized the need for the services I provide. So I pushed even harder to now what we call Flemographics, to serve and help others that may not have a creative edge but still need it. I love to serve people and Flemographics allow me to do that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With my charismatic personality and fun approach, I focus on authenticity of every client and emboss their features of themselves, business and/or personal endeavors. I am not the business that will just take your money and leave. I invest time and thought in every client for the best result and will check in to be sure things are still smooth. My brand is to encourage, equip and empower you to be the best you can be in all of your endeavors but in order for me to encourage others I had to overcome my own fears and really love me for me. I had to confront my insecurities, problems and more to understand my authenticity is unmatched which took time, self acceptance and prayer. I can stand here today by way of good company, wise counsel, hard work and inner healing. I specialize in professional and personal photography as well as all your graphic design needs. At Flemographics we in ALL things creative and making your brand or memories a constant reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the Galleria for the best shopping experience, then take them to the Turkey Leg Hut to eat, visit the Hermann Park, Sam Houston Park, the Waterwall and take them Downtown Houston for a night of full of karaoke and/or a open mic showcase.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people I could give recognition to but I have to honor my parents, Ronald & Faye Flemister. I am a true product of this power couple. They have been a amazing example in entrepreneurship. They have been in business for 30+ years serving my hometown (Bremerton, Washington State) and military personnel in Embroidery and Screen Printing. They have encouraged, pushed me and been a amazing support system in my business and in life in its entirety.
