We had the good fortune of connecting with Romain, Joe Kapadia, Pachioli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Romain, Joe, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Given today’s competitive market, establishing clear positioning is the single most important thing entrepreneurs can do to make sure their brands find a voice and offer a clear value proposition to their customers. Our venues and catering company offer a differentiated point of view and target a very specific, discerning customer. Our clarity towards this is what makes our event brands stand out against our competitors and has been the driving force behind the success of our company.

What should our readers know about your business?
Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. The most important traits to develop are perseverance and having a clear, focused vision. Our intention from the beginning was to develop luxury event venues that could compete with premiere hotels in destinations like New York, Paris, and Rome. There have been hundreds of obstacles along the way, including financing hurdles, construction delays, natural disasters, pandemics, etc., but we’ve never lost sight of our original vision, which has allowed us to move forward through difficult times and arrive at where we are today. 

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Our teams deserve all the credit. We operate in a very human-intensive industry, so we depend on the strength of our culture and team cohesiveness that allows us to execute with excellence without having to micromanage across sites. Building a strong culture is a necessity as you scale up.
