Meet Sarah Coupland | Social Media Manager & Marketing Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Coupland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” And it’s so true. Our mindset can either be our biggest limitation or our greatest asset. When we believe in our ability to tackle challenges, we unlock the potential to do things we never thought possible. It all starts with the confidence to put our minds fully into what we want to achieve. And I have lived by this with my business. We are our only limit, and we never know if something will work until we try.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart:
What makes The Social Hive unique is that we don’t just “do” social media—we’re all about creating connections that mean something. Our focus is on making each brand feel authentic and relatable, not just posting for the sake of it. We dive deep into a brand’s story and find the best way to share it so that it truly resonates with their audience.
What I’m proud of and excited about:
I’m so proud of the impact we’ve been able to make for our clients. Watching them grow, getting those messages about how their brand is finally getting noticed, is why I do this. I’m also super excited about where we’re headed, adding new services and finding fresh ways to help small businesses stand out.
The journey and the challenges along the way:
Getting here has definitely been a journey, and not always an easy one. There were a lot of late nights and times when I had to get creative to make things work. One of the hardest parts was carving out our own space in a market that’s always changing. But I think sticking to what we believe in and surrounding myself with people who support that vision helped a ton.
Lessons I’ve learned:
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that showing up every single day really does make a difference. Consistency is everything, even when it feels like nothing is happening. And relationships are at the heart of it all—trust and collaboration are what keep everything moving forward.
What I want people to know about The Social Hive:
The Social Hive is more than just a business; it’s a place where creativity meets purpose. We’re here to help brands find their true voice and share it with the world in ways that really stick. We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to keep growing alongside our clients.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1: Settling in and local eats We’d start with lunch at Southern Komfort Kitchen—think hearty Southern cooking that feels like a warm hug. Afterward, we’d relax at Sylvan Beach Park. It’s perfect for catching some sun, dipping our toes in the water, and just unwinding by the waves. Dinner would be at Main 101 Grill & Bar, where we’d dive into some incredible American classics.
Day 2: Stepping into Texas history We’d kick off with a visit to the San Jacinto Battleground, the site of the battle that changed Texas forever. There’s so much history packed in, and the monument itself is awe-inspiring. For lunch, we’d swing by Monument Inn for seafood with an amazing view of the Houston Ship Channel.
Day 3: Nature vibes We’d go for a morning hike along the Little Cedar Bayou Nature Trail. It’s beautiful, quiet, and a perfect way to connect with the area’s nature. Afterward, we’d grab a delicious Tex-Mex lunch at El Toro or El Ranchero—no visit to Texas is complete without them! Then, we’d head to the
La Porte Bay Area Heritage Society to check out some cool local artifacts and learn a bit more about La Porte’s story.
Day 4: Art and antiques
We’d start our day at The Cultural Canvas located by Cuban Cafe and look at local art and grab some breakfast! Lunch would be at Ed’s Bistro, a cozy spot with great food. In the afternoon, we’d wander through Vicki’s Antiques on Main or Junk Junkies! There’s always a treasure waiting to be found!
Day 5: Adventure time
We’d spend the day over at Main Street Food Truck Park eating, listening to live music. Then wrap up the day with drinks at The Moon. It’s got this fun, laid-back vibe that makes it the ideal spot to kick back.
Day 6: Visit some local parks, then we’d grab dinner at Gringo’s—because who doesn’t love ending the day with Tex-Mex? Then grab some ice cream or snow cones from Texacone!
Day 7: Wrapping up in style
We’d have lunch at The Wooden Spoon Kitchen and Bakery—their pastries and comfort food are the perfect send-off. Then, we’d stroll around Main Street, grab a Coffee from Sweet Pea Coffee, hitting up the local boutiques, like Babes by the Bay and Silver Buckle. Maybe grab some comic books from Dimensions Comics or visit Books by the Bay!
This week would be a mix of history, nature, good eats, and local culture—everything that makes La Porte special.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my success to my parents, my husband, my in-laws, my family, friends and my community. While we put in the hard work, it truly takes a village to keep a small business thriving. From word of mouth to sharing our business information, the support of our village makes all the difference.
