We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Ngo Schutz, MPAS, PA-C and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Over the years work life balance has become especially important to me. I believe making time for those around you and also making time for yourself is important to stay balanced. Especially now as a newlywed, I factor in more time for family and family planning. I stay active with pilates and activities outdoors with my beloved rescue pup of 8 years now! Being in medicine I am always keeping up with continuing education and I also try to stay involved with community organizations such as our church, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a Life Member with their Alumni Association. As a member of Women of Wardrobe/Dress For Success Houston I try to stay involved on the Social Committee. My husband is a busy Houston cardiothoracic surgeon, and we still always make time for date nights and travel!
What should our readers know about your business?
Together, individual confidence and compassion are a fierce combination! I hope to instill this vision through Houston Beautiful Aesthetics for both women and men. My passion for health and wellness inspire my goals for patients to look and feel their very best, while achieving results of a natural aesthetic. Whether it is addressing skincare concerns, neurotoxin or filler injection treatments, I will always give realistic expectations and I love the diversity across all individuals. It is also fun for me to grow the relationships that develop along the way. Most do not realize that neurotoxin injections are also an effective treatment for migraine or tension headaches, as well as TMJ pain. I also continue to practice in the pain and orthopedics specialty, as my background has always been surgical, and in plastic surgery from the start of my career. I treat patients from all across Houston from the Heights to Galleria and Bellaire areas.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It is March and a busy spring time in Houston! As a Rodeo Life member we would have to put on our dancing boots and cowgirl/boy hats for a rodeo event or concert. We are Houston Ballet season ticket holders and they always put on great performances. The Houston theatre and museum districts have a lot to offer! Checking out a Rockets home game at the Toyota Center is also always fun. The Post or White Oak Music Hall are cool concert venues we like as well.. For outdoor spring weather activities, the newly expanded Memorial park or Buffalo Bayou park is a must. Finally, but certainly not least, Houston encompasses all the elements of good cuisine across all cultures! Sushi is definitely on our rotation, with my favorite lately being Soto. There are also great Vietnamese and Korean BBQ spots, and fresh, delicious Asian bakeries in Chinatown. We frequent restaurants in our area on Westheimer and into Montrose the most.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband has unconditionally been my rock and greatest supporter throughout all peaks and valleys, while dating and now married! He is always encouraging me, making me laugh, and he brings out my best. He is truly inspiring to me and those around him in every way. Not to mention he is also the best dog dad!
