We had the good fortune of connecting with Sayrey El and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sayrey, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
When I first was introduced into real estate, I had zero clue on what I was getting myself into. I automatically learned it was me versus me, that if I wanted to learn or get anything done, it was all on me to expose myself to all the possibilities.. So the most important lesson my business has taught me is that if I don’t roll up my sleeves and get to work, things simply won’t get done. It’s all about taking the initiative and being proactive. This lesson has taught me the importance of being accountable and responsible for my own actions, which meant being self-motivated and disciplined to gain success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As an apartment locator and realtor, creating relationships is a huge part of my business. I always knew creating relationships with people and being personable was easy. For me, real estate isn’t just about properties; it’s about the people behind them. I’m here to listen to your needs, understand your preferences, and help you find that perfect place you can proudly call home. I like to think about what I would look for. As much as work is business, it doesn’t have to be strictly that. I love being able to create these relationships and add my personality so it doesn’t feel like straight business and only business.
In real estate, everything feels like its fast-paced. My mind runs 100 MPH and the only way to keep everything on track is being organized. I understand the feeling of wanting to know every details right there and then, and I always want my clients to know they have that with me. Like I said, I try to think as if I was working with myself, what would I want and how could I be successful for others. Being able to work quickly and efficiently by being organized is a huge part of my success.
I always feel privileged to be a part of that journey, making a difference in their life.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After graduating and getting my bachelors from University of Houston, I took the complete opposite route of going into a career within my degree. I was luckily blessed with the amount of support I had from my family and excitement they shared with me. Along with my high school sweetheart boyfriend, who has also endlessly supported me through every decision I’ve made and been there through every small and big thought process. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
