We had the good fortune of connecting with Shariece and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shariece, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The reason that I decided that I wanted to start my own business was because, I wanted to be my own boss and work a job that I loved. I believe that many of us think more about the meantime instead of considering what we want to do in life long term. I feel that everyone would be more happier in life, and feel more fulfilled, if we all focused on going after our dreams and passions in life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I feel that everyone’s businesses are unique in their own way. I feel that what sets my business apart from others is simply that I am me, and everything that I do for my business has been stemmed from my own creativity. Although there might be other people doing similar things, we all have our own creativity and unique goals. I got to where I am by pushing myself to continue going, even during times that I felt like giving up. One thing this journey taught me was to never give up. I would want the world to know that you should follow your dreams in life, and never let anyone stop you. You are never too young, too old, or not enough to do whatever your heart desires.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am personally more of a homebody. Although it only comes around once a year, I love going to the Houston Rodeo. There are so many different events going on there. My favorite part of it is the carnival. I love the atmosphere there. It is definitely worth a visit when it comes to town. One of the most exciting areas to me is Downtown Houston. There are very interesting people that populate that area. Parking can be tricky, but there are lots of food places and things to do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel that I really have to thank my mother and my husband. My mother played a big part in me deciding to start my own business, and she has been there every step of the way. Whenever I feel discouraged, she encourages me to keep going. My husband also plays an important part, because he has also been encouraging me to pursue all of my dreams since the day he first entered into my life. These two people play a very important part in me continuing to work towards my goals, and hopefully reach the success that I aspire to reach in life.
