We had the good fortune of connecting with Shitonda Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shitonda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Three years ago I began working as a medical social worker for a home health agency. I visited many senior citizens and disabled individuals who needed case management services and also provider services. Ninety percent of the individuals I visited had Medicare. Medicare did not provide a lot of essential services they needed and these individuals are tasked with finding resources in the community without assistance or guidance. This inspired the creation of the non-profit.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Due to my busy schedule, I rarely have time for leisure activities. In my free time, I like to take time to relax and rejuvenate. I will go get a massage, go to Barnes and Noble to read, or find a nice little bistro to eat lunch.
