Meet Stacy Anderson | Eating & Traveling Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacy, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I’ve shown my children to follow their passions. They see their mom as capable, confident, and someone who loves her job. Not many people can say that and I hope to instill in them to seek their passions and go for it!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud that, through this whole career, I have stayed strong in my faith, morals, and never stopped being amazed at what doors God opened for me. I’ve heard before that “If it doesn’t scare you, it’s not worth it”, and I’ve definitely been pushed out of my comfort zone more times than I can count. Every time I felt like I was failing (and there’s been a lot of those times), God has reminded me that tomorrow is a new day and usually that new day brought new blessings.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
After a long trip, I would definitely head to Galveston. We’d naturally a lot to catch up on, so we’d head to Murdoch’s to sit in a rocking chair and listen to the waves crash against the shore while chatting. Next, it’s all about the food… If we’re feeling like comfort food, we’d head to Miller’s, if we wanted a burger then we’d go to Gypsy Joint, and if we were looking for an upscale place with great cocktails, it would be Hearsay on the Strand. Then, we’d head over to the Strand for a few photo ops in some of the funky murals by MOD coffee and a little ice cream at La King’s. For me, the best days are about good food, a little relaxation, and great conversation with a close friend.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I believe that every blessing I have received comes from God. He has blessed me in so many ways and I am eternally thankful for a Heavenly Father that loves me. I’m also thankful that He gave me a wonderfully supportive family, amazingly creative friends, and the best kids anyone could ever hope for (who also keep me humble).
