We had the good fortune of connecting with Stazie Acevedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stazie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Helping people with their skin is my passion. I love caring for others and teaching them and making them feel spoiled!

Ive been an esthetician for over 6 years and most of those were spent working for someone else in a day spa. I worked in so many different roles including lead esthetician, trainer, and even ran their social media. I worked long days and spent most of my time there since I had so many responsibilities. It got to the point where I knew I could be running a business for myself but I was always scared of leaving the security I had there.

In 2022 my step dad and grandfather both passed away within months of each other and it put so much into perspective. My step dad worked a busy job and was super successful but was gone a lot. My grandfather had his own psychiatry practice and was able to make his own hours to be present for the family. When I looked at how their lives differed, I realized the security isn’t worth it if I don’t get to spend time with my family. I knew it was time to leave and create my own business so I could create that balance for myself.

I named my business “Kind Esthetics” after a saying my grandfather had “Be kind to you, it helps you be kind to others”

I love helping people with their skin but I also love showing people kindness and helping them to see their true beauty inside and out. I want to make a difference in my clients lives by educating them and guiding them through a journey to get them to the skin of their dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
It was a long road to realizing the vision for my business. When I was in the dreaming phase I sat down with a journal and wrote down everything I wanted to do and how I wanted to make people feel.

Yes I considered the treatments, pricing and the logistics. But mostly I wanted to make sure my clients felt happy and comfortable coming to me.

It’s been an amazing journey so far and I have so many goals in the works that I’ve yet to accomplish. I’m so proud of where my business is today because I know I get the chance to make a positive impact on people.

I think that’s a big thing that sets Kind Esthetics apart from other acne/skincare clinics. I genuinely care about my clients and want them to feel comfortable, safe, respected, and valued. I want them to look forward to their appointments knowing I have their back and I’m here to guide and support them through their skin concerns free of judgement.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m such a homebody! The only places I could plan to go are indoor play places since I have a toddler!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to all of my amazing friends, family, and clients for their support. I am so thankful for all of the people who trust me with their skin. Kind Esthetics wouldn’t be what it is without you.
