Meet Stefany Figueroa | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefany Figueroa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefany, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
Being able to wake up every morning and spend more time with my kid, Photography has give me the opportunity to do that and more. I believe time is really important and the time i get to spend with him and my family does not have a price.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a family/Children photographer, other than that I always try my best to give a awesome experience to whoever comes with me. I love to interact and talk with my clients every time so they feels like home. I started from zero, thanks to God, husband, mom & mentor to be with me all the time, to give support every time I feel like I’m about to quit. I have had gray days when I feel I can’t do it anymore but as well beautiful, happy days that I want to dance, laugh and tell everyone my happiness. The most challenging moment is when mom, business, wife, sister, daughter roles are overwhelmed and is when I just need a moment to breath and calm. I have learned that you will always will need help and is okay to say yes and is okay to say no as well. I wanted to tell everyone that the sky is the limit, push harder every time, try to be better everyday, stay humble and the most important thing never forget where you come from or who’s been there for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh where can I start, I have been in some different places here in Houston Texas. Some beautiful nice spots I love to do my photography are where I can have water, Helen’s park is an amazing place to shoot & to go for a walk. Hermann park is a beautiful park to go with the family or friends you have so much to do there. Oyster creek park on Sugar Land has beautiful waterfalls and amazing views where you can recreate nice memories. To have fun a good food downtown is the right place, to go with your friends to ride a bike, to do a picnic, even to do photos. To have fun at night, have some drinks Wonderbar is your place I went for my birthday with my friends and we had a blast.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Around 2017 I was so into Photography but at the time I wasn’t able to afford a camera or anything else. My husband gave me a camera on Christmas Eve I was so happy, I started to do some photos of my friends & family. My husband is my best supporter he has been always with me, my mom who’s cheering me up. As a kid growing up, I have always been very creative. I begun my journey as a hobby but with time I have learn more and more, I have never been so happy with this job that has given more than clients, I have friends. This year I decided to go to my very first 1:1 class with Yancy Villatoro which she has teach me so much and she has encouraged me to be better person & stay humble. I have learned that Photography is a way to capture moment for others, this is the best thing to do for others. I have seen families grow and is such a good feeling to seize their moments forever. Each click that I do with my camera is a photo with a meaning, with a story, with a moment to tell. I couldn’t make it without my husband he’s my right hand.
