We had the good fortune of connecting with Stella Osake and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stella, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I love beauty! I love to have women around me feel beautiful! And I knew for a fact that a lady’s hair do is an important accessory to her dressing. I loved getting my hair done always and I felt so confident when I had a good hair day. That sort of confidence was what I wanted every woman to feel. So I fire in me sparked and the hair business was born.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
This is more of fulfillment to me than a business. My slogan, ‘Compliment yourself’ is all about building women’s confidence in themselves by accessorizing their looks with their hair do.

As the days go by, I become very proud of myself for how fast and good I have become in my skills. It’s been a long self thought journey and I keep learning everyday.

I was born in a business setting. My mum was a small business owner for more than 30 years and that’s how I grew up, knowing how to make more out of little or nothing.

I grew to train myself that obstacles and challenges are part of life and you have to go through them rather than run away from them.

So far, I have learned to hold on and keep pushing till to achieve your goal. Learn to stay committed to the path you start no matter the obstacles.
Believe in your abilities and stay consistent in your path, learning from your mistakes and making corrections.

My brand is geared towards building confidence and glorious self esteem in women. Love yourself and express that with your outlook. Let your outside be a compliment to what you are feeling inside. Our wigs are made for you. Meaning we get to understand how you desire to feel when you put it on, and when I have that detail, I make your wig geared towards your desire. We love to make women feel their best selves when wearing our wigs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
That will depend what part of the world I am in. I will start with some good food at a lounge or restaurant with some live music.
Movies will definitely be included on another day.
We will go out for some adrenaline rush recreational activities like sky diving.
Some clubbing and some dance lessons.
Will also visit an art museum and maybe some paint and sip or cake decorating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother has always being my mentor! My husband has been my support and encouragement.
My eyes were open to the possibility of this passion becoming a business by my friend Mbah Nadesh. She made the first wig for me and I watched.
My friends and clients that have always held my business and skills in high regard, I am very appreciative
