Hi Stephanie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was filled with excitement and anticipation. The idea of having the freedom to shape my own professional journey while also having the availability to be there for my family was incredibly thrilling.

While there was a hint of concern about the potential challenges and the possibility of failure, that only fueled my determination to make this venture a success. With the unwavering support and encouragement from my husband and family, I knew I had an incredible safety net that would help me navigate any obstacles along the way.

The thought of being in control of my own destiny, pursuing my passions, and creating something meaningful was invigorating. I envisioned a future where I could strike a perfect balance between family life and a thriving career, where I could have the best of both worlds.

Taking the leap into entrepreneurship was not without its risks, but the prospect of charting my own course and achieving personal fulfillment made it all worthwhile. I was excited about the endless possibilities, the chance to make a real impact, and the freedom to bring my unique vision to life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Getting to where I am today in my business has been an exhilarating adventure! Let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as it may seem on the surface. The most thrilling part of this journey was the mindset shift from being an employee to becoming my own boss. And you know what? It completely transformed my life!

Now, here’s the exciting part: I started off as a bit of an introvert, which might surprise you considering how I carry myself now! But with every new venture comes a learning curve, and boy, did I dive headfirst into it. After spending 15 years in dentistry, I made the bold decision to venture into the world of bookkeeping. Talk about a major change!

As I officially launched my business, my networking efforts initially took place online through platforms like Facebook and other fantastic platforms. That’s where I connected with a vibrant community of coaches – from brilliant business coaches to empowering mindset coaches. Zoom calls and one-on-one conversations became the norm, and let me tell you, the insights I received were pure gold. They guided me in refining my logo, branding, website, and so much more. I am forever indebted to them for their invaluable wisdom, as it propelled both my personal and professional growth.

Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I must have changed my logo and colors a few times – about three times, to be precise – until I felt they perfectly aligned with my vision and how I wanted to present my business to the world. It was like putting together a masterpiece, one stroke at a time.

But you know what took my business to new heights? It was stepping out and connecting with the incredible local business owners. Hearing their stories, learning from their experiences, and building strong relationships within my community – that was an absolute game-changer!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, that’s a tough one! But I have the perfect answer for you. We would absolutely love to stay in Grapevine, Texas, as it offers the quintessential small-town life that we both adore. The charm and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal destination for an unforgettable week-long trip.

During our stay, we would start by immersing ourselves in the delightful small-town experience, strolling along the storefronts and indulging in a day of shopping. Grapevine boasts an array of unique boutiques and shops that offer everything from fashion to artisan crafts. We would spend hours exploring the quaint streets, discovering hidden treasures, and supporting local businesses.

One of the must-visit places in Grapevine is the glass-blowing shop. It’s an extraordinary experience where we would have the opportunity to create our own one-of-a-kind glasses or vases under the guidance of skilled artisans. The thrill of seeing molten glass transform into beautiful art would leave us in awe.

Of course, we wouldn’t miss out on the nearby water park! We would dedicate a whole day to laughter, splashes, and adrenaline-pumping water slides. It would be the perfect opportunity to let loose, enjoy the sunshine, and create memories filled with joy and excitement.

Exploring the local wineries would be another highlight of our trip. Grapevine is known for its exceptional wineries, and we would savor the opportunity to taste a variety of wines while experiencing the unique ambiance of each vineyard. We might even indulge in a guided tour to learn more about the winemaking process and the region’s rich history.

To add a touch of tranquility to our adventure, we would take a leisurely walk through the beautiful botanical gardens. The serene surroundings, vibrant floral displays, and fragrant blooms would offer a peaceful escape from the bustling town and allow us to connect with nature on a deeper level.

Throughout our time in Grapevine, we would soak up the small-town hospitality, savor delicious meals at charming local eateries, and immerse ourselves in the warm and welcoming community.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I am absolutely thrilled to give a huge shout-out to my mentor, Kristin Ingram CPA owner of Bookkeeper Training School, and all the incredible ladies in the Facebook group I belong to. Let me tell you, the journey of finding my next steps in life involved some research and exploring various programs. It was an exhilarating process!

Just as I was about to enroll in another course, fate intervened and I stumbled upon the one I eventually took. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I could have ever made! The support and guidance I received from my mentor have been nothing short of extraordinary. She has been there for me every step of the way, offering invaluable insights and helping me navigate the challenges with confidence.

But it doesn’t stop there! The camaraderie and support I have found among the other amazing ladies in the group have been an absolute blessing. We lift each other up, share experiences, and cheer each other on toward our goals. It’s like having a squad of motivated and inspiring individuals right by my side, ready to tackle any obstacles that come our way.

One of the fantastic outcomes of this course has been the connections I’ve made with bookkeepers from all over the United States. We have formed a tight-knit community, regularly gathering on calls to exchange knowledge, discuss new programs and technologies, and help each other become more efficient in our work. The collective wisdom and collaboration are simply priceless!

I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have stumbled upon this course and become a part of such an incredible network. The support, mentorship, and connections have exceeded my wildest expectations. It’s a true blessing that has opened doors to personal and professional growth beyond what I could have imagined.
