We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Heard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was simply that I wanted to do something I loved, but also make money.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets me apart from others is my versatility and the care I put into my services. I truly believe that salon services can really change your day and outlook on your appearance if done correctly.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have only been Houston for a couple of years and I’m more of a homebody, however there are a few places I have been that I love. Hip Hop Vintage Flea market which is held every 1st Sunday it has live entertainment and tons of vintage clothes, shoes, and accessories. Post Houston is a great food spot that occasionally hosts events and various vendors. Electric scooter riding downtown Houston is a must. Its a great time with a great way to view of the city. Lotus seafood is a staple for me to take my friends too as well as craft crab. Those are most of my fave places.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother deserves this shoutout and I will dedicated this to her. She is the source that introduced me to hair braiding and all things beauty. She also gave me the push to get my license and fight the good fight everyday as an entrepreneur.
