Meet Stephanie Robles | Licensed Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Robles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks has played a huge role in shaping my career. After graduating from esthetician school in January 2023 and receiving my Texas license in February, I decided to take the plunge and go solo right away. I knew I didn’t want to work for anyone else or at a spa. I wanted to build something of my own. So, I started setting up my business from home with no clientele, no prior experience in running a business, and no guarantees of success. I’m incredibly grateful that my parents believed in me and supported my vision. They even transformed our family movie room into a facial room so I could begin seeing clients at home.
The early days were tough. There were weeks where I didn’t have any clients at all, and I could’ve easily given up. But instead, I kept pushing. I promoted myself on social media, stayed consistent, and used the downtime to continue my education, mainly focusing on product knowledge and refining my skills to become more confident in my craft. By December 2023, I took another major step: I moved into a professional suite, even though my client base was still small. But I had the confidence to keep growing, and I knew it was the right move.
Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far I’ve come. I started with just a few clients each month and now have a much stronger and more loyal clientele. Taking those risks taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of betting on myself. It wasn’t easy, but those leaps of faith have shaped me not just as a business owner, but as a person.

What should our readers know about your business?
Robles Esthetics is all about helping people feel confident and cared for in their own skin. I offer customized facial and skincare treatments in a peaceful, one-on-one environment where clients can relax and focus on themselves. What sets me apart is the personal connection I build with each client. I take the time to understand their skin, their concerns, and what makes them feel good, so every visit feels intentional and personal.
The vibe of my facial suite is calming and welcoming. I’ve designed it to feel like the perfect mix of comfort and professionalism. It’s a space where clients can trust they’re receiving high-quality care while also feeling completely at ease.
One of the things I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned to keep showing up, stay consistent, and be resourceful. I’ve also seen the power of community support. So much of my growth has come through word-of-mouth, social media, and loyal, returning clients.
My goal is for every person who walks through my door to feel valued, heard, and more confident in their skin. I’m proud of the space I’ve created, and I’m excited for everything that’s still to come!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d keep it simple, start the mornings with coffee, and just ease into the day. We’d spend time catching up and chismeando, probably inside with the A/C on blast because this Texas heat is no joke… if you know, you know.
We’d take a trip into Houston to visit the Museum of Natural Science, especially the Cockrell Butterfly Center. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and always worth it. One evening, we’d head to The Woodlands for dinner at Xalisko. It’s about a 30-minute drive north of Houston, and the food and drinks never disappoint. The rest of the week would be filled with good food, lots of laughs, and making the most of our time together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my parents for allowing me to start my business right out of their home. They didn’t just support me, they made it possible. But I especially want to recognize my mom. She is literally the most supportive person ever! When I told her I wanted to move my business into a suite, I was scared. I didn’t have a steady clientele, and there was so much uncertainty. But she always believed in me and kept telling me, “Tú puedes.” Her belief in me gave me the courage to take that leap, and I’m so thankful for her love and encouragement.
Another shoutout goes to the Facebook group “New Caney News.” I’m not even kidding…most of my bookings have come from that community! The support from our small (but growing!) town has been incredible, and I’m forever grateful for everyone in that group who’s shared my posts, recommended me, or booked with me. You all helped get my name out there, and I’ll never forget that.
