Meet Tara Yerigan | Brow & Lash Lift Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Yerigan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always loved the work I do as a Licensed Esthetician. Specializing in brow artistry, lash lifts, and Brazilian waxing, the confidence these services bring to my clients is unmatched. Helping people feel comfortable, confident, and cared for has always been the most rewarding part of my work.
There were moments where I felt inspired to elevate the client experience in ways that weren’t always possible in someone else’s structure. That’s when I realized I wanted to create a space that fully reflects my approach and values.
I often felt there was a gap in how intentionally clients were cared for, which truly pushed me to step out on my own. I wanted to create something where I had a say in every detail, ensuring nothing is missed and everyone feels genuinely taken care of. Getting to make others feel wonderful while building meaningful, lasting relationships will always be my why.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets my business apart is the level of care, intention, and skill that goes into every single service. I work day in and day out to ensure each client feels comfortable, confident, and genuinely taken care of from the moment they walk in. My work speaks for itself through the results my clients leave with, but just as importantly, through how they feel afterward.
Education is a huge part of who I am as a business owner. I am constantly learning, taking advanced classes, and investing in the best products so I can continue to grow my skills and provide the best possible services. I believe staying educated is essential in this industry, and I never want to stop evolving.
Building my business was not easy, and still isn’t. Especially as a one-woman show, I wear every hat, make every decision, and hold myself to a high standard every single day. At 23, I sometimes feel underestimated, but instead of letting that define me, I use it as motivation to show up consistently and let my work speak for itself.
The biggest lesson I continue to learn is that growth takes patience, resilience, and a strong belief in yourself. The Sunkissed Cowgirl is growing into more than just a beauty business—it is becoming a place where people come to feel confident, cared for, and empowered. I want it to be a space where clients walk in smiling and leave with an even bigger smile, knowing they were seen, valued, and truly taken care of. Making people feel good is and will always be at the heart of my brand and my story.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d want to show her the full Houston experience—food, culture, and all the hidden gems that make this city special. We’d start with classic spots like the Houston Zoo, the Downtown Aquarium, and one of Houston’s science museums! I love experiences that are fun, interactive, and inspiring.
Food would also be a major highlight. We’d absolutely stop at Mr. Taco in Conroe—hands down one of my favorite local spots. A dinner at Taste of Texas would be a must so she could have the best steak of her life.
For shopping and exploring, I’d take her to Old Town Spring to walk around, support small local businesses, and check out all the cute boutiques and antique shops. It’s one of my favorite places to slow down and just enjoy the day.
At night, we’d head into the city for the Rooftop Cinema Club and enjoy a movie with a skyline view!
What makes Houston so exciting to me is the mix of cultures, locally owned businesses, and unique experiences. There’s always something new to discover, and it’s a city that truly has something for everyone.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are truly so many people and communities that have played a role in my journey. I want to give a huge shoutout to the Woodlands Women’s Business Collective and the Conroe Girls Who Social Club for providing connection, encouragement, and a strong sense of community. Being surrounded by like-minded women has helped me build lasting relationships and grow with confidence.
I’m also incredibly grateful for my beauty industry friends, Aylin Valles of Wax Lux Studio and Harley Offutt of The Pink Cherub. Harley took the time to sit down with me early on, took me to lunch, and helped me wrap my head around what it really takes to start a business. Aylin has been my constant throughout this journey—we’ve figured things out together every step of the way, and she always answers the 11pm “what should I do here??” texts.
And most importantly, I want to recognize my boyfriend, Jeffrey Brown, who truly stepped up in every way. He took on so much behind the scenes and carried the weight of everyday responsibilities so I could fully focus on building my dream. His support, belief in me, and willingness to sacrifice made this possible, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. I am so grateful for all of the amazing and encouraging people in my life.
