We had the good fortune of connecting with Tarolyn Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tarolyn, what matters most to you?
Integrity. It is my belief that in all we do it should be done with integrity. Integrity for me means to have a standard of moral uprightness. Always set a standard of respect that is unwavering.
What should our readers know about your business?
I pride myself on being a open minded person. I’m always open to new ideas, different perspectives and the growth process of learning. Becoming an Empowerment Coach was quite easy for me because I find it natural to empower someone with the tools needed to navigate through life challenges. Enabling a person to live their truth is a two-fold reward. I get to see a person grow and I get to grow in the process. I’ve learned along the way that each person has a voice that shouldn’t be silenced due to fear of being rejected. I believe there is always a place where you can resonate. I would like for the world to know that I coach/teach from experience. I’m very diverse in my coaching practice, I create a style of coaching on an individual basis to cater to the individual.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
My best friend is an introvert so doing simple things would bring pleasure to her. I’m more of a free spirited person so the balance of our week long itinerary would include backyard picnics to bike rides through the city. I’ve lived in Houston for 5 years so I’m still touring myself which is fun. I love to tour the Historic Third Ward District. The Reggae Hut is one of my favorite Caribbean spots for lunch or dinner. Brunch is always good at the Leeland House. The atmosphere there is so eclectic with touches of rustic patio vibes mixed with a menu that is sure to please any palate. In my view Houston is so diverse that you can experience a mini world tour right here in Houston with all the diverse cultural exposure. I would definitely make sure a trip to the Woodlands would be on the itinerary.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
On my journey there have been numerous people who have impacted my life for the better. Particularly in one of my faith based connections I was fortunate enough to be mentored by Bianca Harris. Bianca started mentoring me through a chapter of life where I was becoming overwhelmed with my business ventures. She became an accountability partner. She would encourage me to live out my dreams without the limits of modern day society restrictions. She would hold me accountable for my consistency of being a lifelong learner.
